Detailed Reviews
We stayed on an ensuite site and were very pleased with the high standard of cleanliness and well maintained grounds. Prices are reasonable compared to the over rated brand name parks and the facilities are better. They have an on site restaurant and provide local fishing charters at reduced rates for guests. They have a Happy Hour on Friday and Saturday and provide hot bar snacks. The park is located over the road from the beach and Batemans Bay is a five minute drive.

We were camped in tents at the well set out and tidy park. The facilities were always clean and tidy, the pool was also nice and clean. Although our stay was cut short by the bushfires we still enjoyed our stay and felt quite safe and secure there.
One staff member there gave us very good info about what was happening and where best to head to evacuate ourselves from the fires. our sincere thanks go to this staff member. Our hearts go out to all the locals and businesses of batemans bay, such a lovely spot to visit.

Can’t say this one has been a pleasure but it also wasn’t terrible.. Check in was fine.. 1st thing we noticed when finding our site was the speed bumps or dips in the road.. A couple of those dips were so deep, our bumper scratched the floor and we’re in a camper van so higher up than a car.. They will cause damage to someone’s car one day.. The toilets didn’t seem to be cleaned often.. Sink still had toothpaste in it from the day before and the dirty footprints leading out of the shower were still there the next day too.. The shower pressure was like a jet wash and it was a 6 minute timed shower which isn’t a bad thing as always good to conserve water.. The pool looked clean enough although never used it.. The water taps and electric sockets for our site were further away than I’ve seen on any other campsite.. You will need a long extension lead to connect everything up, luckily we had just bought a longer one the day before.. It’s a good base to go to Bateman’s Bay and I’m glad we only booked 3 nights..

+1
Firstly, there are too few bathroom amenities for the number of people at the park. For example, the block by the camping area only has two male toilets. Frustratingly, they’re only accessible with a single key per site (and not a code).
One toilet seat is cracked, and when we arrived, one shower head had fallen off. The floors are often slippery and wet, dirty (unsure how often it’s cleaned) and there was very little soap in the dispenser on multiple occasions (and across the two blocks, and even after cleaning). I would expect a much higher standard of cleanliness, especially during a pandemic.
In the other toilet block, the porcelain soap holder had cracked and was crudely covered up with duck tape. The shower cubicles are tiny, and the shower curtains feel old. The park still have the ‘insert 20c for hot water’ collection boxes (unused, but a good example of how old the toilets are).
Moving to meal preparation, the camp kitchen stove is ancient and in a bad state of repair. The stovetop isn’t aligned correctly, so one burner sends jets of flame upwards instead of being evenly distributed. The piezo starter for the oven doesn’t work, so I was instructed by the maintenance guy to put my hand into the back of the oven, turn the gas on, and light the fire. That’s simply unacceptable and unsafe. Further, the room smelled like gas after I was cooking the oven for about half an hour, and I felt a bit unwell.
Finally, the roads aren’t well maintained. The speed bumps are dips in the ground and difficult to drive over slowly, and there are many potholes and asphalt chunks. It’s also quite sad driving past four cockatoos in a tiny cage seemingly without adequate shade (bar the metal roof of the cage).
We have stayed at many caravan parks, often preferring G’day Parks because of our membership, and trusting that there’s at least a minimum standard that will be maintained.
Unfortunately at Pleasurelea, that was not the case, and we’ve spent a significant amount of money (across three sites) for a sub-par experience, trusting (perhaps naively) in the G’day brand.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately there is very little we can do regarding the number of toilets/showers in the bottom amenities block as these facilities are on a septic system which only has a limited capacity. The main block has sufficient facilities and is only a short walk up the hill from the camping areas. We have informed out maintenance staff regarding the cracked toilet seat etc and these issues have been addressed. It is standard practice to provide 1 key per site for the facilities, however, if another key is requested by the guest then it is supplied. The oven in the camp kitchen has been replaced. Unfortunately we have had excessive amounts rain over the last 6 months and then the busy Christmas period was upon us, the roads will be attended to as soon as we have a period of fine weather and the roads can be fenced off appropriately. We apologise for the inconvenience during your stay, but wish to assure you that your feedback has been acknowledged and acted upon.

When we got there the cabin was filthy dirty and full of water it was disgusting, there was rubbish from previous people in the rooms and bugs everywhere we went camping the week before and didn’t see as many bugs as we seen in our cabin. There was only one toilet roll (our stay was for a week). There wasn’t anywhere to dry anything including no dish rack for the dishes, and the tea towel was dirty and see through. We used the washing machine and dryer ($4 each) and our clothes were still drenched after drying for $4. We will never stay here again, the only good thing about it was that it was close to the bay.

Thank you for your feedback. Had you have raised these issues at the time of your stay we would have had a cleaner attend to the cabin or potentially moved you to a similar or upgraded cabin and refunded you the cost of the dryer. As always there are extra supplied at the office for the cabins if requested, including tea towels, toilet rolls and other toiletries, tea and coffee.

We were four adults in a so called deluxe cabin for three nights. Would definitely not call the cabin deluxe as pretty basic and the second bedroom could only accommodate a bed as there was no room for bedside table, dressing table or storage. Consequently all our luggage was piled up in the lounge as we were touring down the East coast. The cabin was clean but certainly 'no frills' and apparently it could sleep six which would be an incredible tight fit for everyone.
The pool was clean and the general surroundings were kept tidy.
Not keen on the birds though that we kept in a cage 24/7!

We booked a powered site. Checking in was quick and easy as we had our access code emailed the day before. The office staff were lovely and friendly.
The site was a great size with plenty of room for our caravan, awning and car. The park was quiet despite it being a pretty decent size. The free minigolf was a great bonus and the swimming pool was spotless. The amenities were dated but clean.
The park is directly across from a small beach but within driving distance of some great beaches. Batemans Bay CBD is about a 5-10 minute drive away.
Would definitely recommend.

We had a terrible experience with this company. They cancelled our fishing charter the day before and when we asked for a refund so we could book an alternate charter we were informed no. The receptionist was extremely rude and when I asked to speak with the owner she flat out said NO YOU CAN NOT. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and I urge anyone who is thinking of booking a charter with these people to please reconsider as they cancel last minute and do not refund your money.

Booked a superior cabin at a premium price. Cabin was supposed to have a queen bed, 2 x tvs, hairdryer. The cabin we were assigned only had a double bed, no hairdryer, 1/2 a tv ( only half cause 1 channel only worked half the time, and some buttons on remote didn’t work so couldn’t use it). The cabin was very old, and very dirty. After a swim on day 1 after washing swimmers I dripped water on lounge floor. Used bathmat to wipe up the water and the mat ended up black. The lounge was disgustingly dirty, there were lots of cockroaches too. Each morning we had to sweep up the poo, and you could here them scurrying in the walls at night. The wifi password didn’t work either. The sheets had stains on them. The tea towel was useless as it left fluff all over plates. The cutlery was disgustingly dirty as well as the cutlery drawer.
On top of that we couldn’t use the balcony much as neighbours smoked constantly from dawn till dusk.
Would not recommend this place at all. If our cabin was superior, I’d hate to see a basic cabin.

Thank you for your feedback. We are unsure which cabin you were staying in. Our Superior Family cabins have a queen bed, 2 tv's and hairdryer, where-as our Superior cabins have a double bed and only 1 TV. Unfortunately we have had an excessive amount of rain over the last 6 months which makes the control of cockroaches very difficult, however our maintenance staff do spray and treat both the inside an outside of the cabins on a regular basis. The issue of the cleanliness has been noted and brought to the attention of our cleaners.
