We booked this accommodation just before the second round of covid kicked in. The management was accommodating to meet our requests to extend even when the tourism re-opened from covid. For that we are truly grateful.
Booking system was all done remotely, and check in and out are all done contactless. We have had some questions where to go etc during our stay and the staff can be reached by email or messaging and they reply very promptly. Thumbs up to quality of the customer service extended to us.
We booked the Grande Room for our family and it was very well equipped. It has a kitchenette for you to cook and a microwave but no oven. Full size fridge/ freezer/ dishwasher and nice touch with the Nespresso machine, drip drop coffee bags and T2’s tea bags. We were give a popper sizes of both soy milk and full cream milk during our stay and replenished the kitchen daily. The bathrooms are well stocked with what’s generally needed ( just don’t have the amenities like cotton pads/ cotton buds etc that you would normally expect for the price we paid) but no problem, just very minor. The Grande has its own pool which was a bonus after numerous hikes.
There is a Cantina with 2 vending machines with curated snacks and drinks but quite pricey that we didn’t get anything.
There is a communal pool at the end of the complex and a communal room also with fireplace and seats around. Perhaps it’d be great to maybe convert this to an exercise room, a room with billiard table and a corner library perhaps just to give it a variety of things to do within the complex.
Location: it’s not too far from main Batesmans Bay town centre. But it’s centrally located to either go up north or south. We loved the location. Across the road offers a place to view a beautiful sunrise ( although you can view from the Grande). Walking distance to coffee shop, IGA, Batehaven has a little village to meet one’s needs.
If there’s anything I would point out is that the beds are too soft for my liking. I had to move from one room to another to test each bed but unfortunately, all the same.
Price: on the high side.
Would we stay here again. Definitely. And would recommend to family and friends too.

Stayed overnight in room 6 downstairs. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately when the place was renovated, soundproofing wasn't part of the deal. You will hear a cacophony of slamming doors as people come and go. The door closers are set to slam very hard ! Another tip is to not leave any clothing on the floor in the bathroom when showering as the water seems to run a bit beyond what is intended - at least in room 6. I'm not a fan of 6 digit plus a special character pin code to memorize and punch to access the room each time. Banks can survive on 4 digit pins so I'm not sure why the Isla make it so tedious?

This hotel was a new experience as it had no reception. It was all self check in via codes on the door. It’s seems to be a renovated 70s motel and its been done really well. We booked the ‘King’ which is the base room and it was very comfortable. It is walking distance to beach but the hotel pool although small is really nice. For $50 extra you have the option to extend check in or checkout by 2 hours. There is a vending machine which provides drinks (wine, beer etc) and snacks. Overall a nice accommodation if you don’t care about a reception or access to other hotel services. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed.

Was such a great stay! My partner and I loved our stay at the Isla. The heated pool was really nice. We got a courtyard room and enjoyed a drink in the afternoon there. The small details of the room really made it special with refillable sparkling water and the cantina. It was good location, with lots to do in the area. Looking forward to our next stay.

Room was very clean and comfortable. There are no staff on-site, so could not rate service. There is a on-site vending machine and tea, coffee and water in the rooms. There is not much in the local area, so you need a car, however there are a couple of dining options for dinner, in walking distance.

Contactless stay, everything very well thought out. Rooms are spotlessly clean, with everything needed for a short term stay. Very comfortable beds. Great pool area including BBQ, lounge area. Located close to cafes and shopping area. Easy walk to the beach

Would have been good if this had been cleaned properly before I checked in. There was a long black hair I found in my bed. The pillows smelt sweaty and dank.
Annoying there are no staff on site. Also annoying how far this is from the main part of Batemans. We booked thinking it was much closer.
We won't be back...very disappointing for the price

The Isla has had a really cool retro fit out. The rooms are gorgeous and well designed making them very functional. Really close and hand to all Batemans Bay and the surrounding areas have to offer. Would highly recommend
