We chose to stay here after finding the thought of staying with Alpacas a wonderful idea on our New England road tri and we were not disappointed.
We were great by our hosts and shown our very comfy accomodation for the night and were told we were welcome to use their BBQ for dinner which we happily accepted.
We decided to meet our animal neighbours next but were stopped by the host's grandchild's puppy named cloudy. Very cute.
The alpacas were very cute even though they were sheered with the babies following very closely as they were all very shy until we brought them hay.
Our night cooking a BBQ under stars was nothing short of breathtaking as all the stars came out and we captured some beautiful shots of the Milky Way.
If we could give this accomodation 6 stars we would as it was absolutely amazing and we hope to return here again for another night under the stars with the alpacas.

We stayed two nights in the Conservatory Room and enjoyed every moment. If you want to be in a place where you can relax but still be close to all the attractions of the area this place is for you! Loved seeing the alpacas outside and the gardens were beautiful. We loved the conservatory with the sun coming in during the morning and the windows looking out over the autumn trees. Breakfast was amazing with freshly baked bread 😊 thanks Bronwyn and David for making us feel so welcome

Very conveniently located, quiet place, close to Armidale attractions.
The hosta were friendly and helpful and took us to feed the Alpacas.
The place was clean and fully equipped.
Major complaint is the bathroom, impossible to use the basin and a tight squeeze, unable to towel one self dry after the shower.

We do highlight on our website the fact that the bathroom in the Garden Suite is small so I am sorry if you missed this information. I see you booked through booking.com so I can see why you may have missed this. It is difficult to convey aspects of your property on their site hence we are no longer using them. However the luxurious Conservatory Suite does have a much larger bathroom and very spacious living area. Bron.

We stopped there on our way to Brisbane from Sydney. Very well equipped but indeed the bathroom was tiny. It was made better by the fact that there were two toilets. Breakfast was well presented and very tasteful.

I am pleased you enjoyed your breakfast. The bathroom in the Garden Suite is small hence the lower tariff however the bathroom in the Conservatory does have a more spacious bathroom for requiring more space.

Clean adequate accommodation although the bathroom is tiny. That was ok for us. The accommodation is well heated but no fire. Lovely hosts and the alpacas are really friendly. Well worth a visit for accommodation in Armidale with a difference. We learnt a lot about the Alpacas and you can roam the farm at your leisure.

Thank you for your kind comments. We do like to share our farm and animals with our guests. Unfortunately the bathroom in the Garden Suite is small as it was a later addition so we were limited with size. The Conservatory Suite has a more spacious bathroom but only accommodates two people.

We (3persons-myself,wife,son )came from Kuwait for a friendly visit to armidale and our choice to stay (12 days-march 15 to march 27-2014)at the glenhopes is one of the best decisions taken so far . The exquisite conservatory suite ,lush greenery ,alpeccas lazing around, fresh breakfast, and with perfect hosts like Bronwyn & David ,i should say we got there the "bestcombination " for a peaceful stay.
The ambience was so divine and peaceful that we got the perfect break from our busy city life.
My son is stiil feeling nostalgic about Glenhope and if at all we visit Armidale again in future, we would only choose Glenhope for our stay. The stay was indeed memorable for us!

Thank you for reviewing Glenhope B&B. It was our pleasure meeting you all. The Conservatory Suite is certainly the most luxurious of our two suites at present however we are about to make additions so the Garden Suiteso it will become a self contained garden apartment. It will be even more spacious and comfortable in the near future.

We have just been back for our second stay at Glenhope and the kids are already asking when we can return. The conservatory suite is perfect for a family (we have 3 children aged between 5 & 10) and the accommodation is beautiful, clean and really feels like home. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is provided and the beds are very comfortable and warm.
The breakfast is delightful (especially the home-made muesli and freshly baked bread) and Bronwyn & David are perfect hosts. Our children love watching, feeding and patting the alpacas and learning about life on the farm. Glenhope is ideally situated only a few minutes drive to UNE and the town centre. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil, luxury farmstay experience.

It was great to see you all again and we are pleased you now have a budding farmer in the family as a result of your stay at Glenhope. We gain much pleasure in seeing city children enjoying a country lifestyle. Maybe the next step for the budding farmer is a rural science degree at UNE.

Oh man. What a beautiful and awesome place!
My friend and I stayed here because it was close to the uni and because I love animals. WE LOVED IT.
It was so beautiful and tranquil and quiet and peaceful and all we could hear were the birds chirping! The garden is stunning and it was so lovely to be able to walk around around the beautiful gardens and paddocks and say hi to the adorable alpacas! They were so damn cute, I wanted to take a few home with me. I got to feed them a few times too which was hilarious - they all came running towards us and munched on the grass I was holding. They're the funniest animals, they always seem to be smiling.
The sky is so clear out there that I got to see the milk in the Milky Way for the first time in years. I couldn't believe it was still visible like that! Just beautiful.
The accommodation is fantastic. We stayed in the Conservatory Suite which is huge. It has a nice kitchen and big dining room and lots of lounges where you could just spend the day relaxing and reading. The bed is super comfy. It's also warm and snuggy inside so you don't get cold on those minus 5 nights.
David and Bronwyn were lovely and didn't mind me wanting to snuggle the alpacas all the time. :-)
Also it's really convenient and close to the uni. It only took about 5 minutes to get there. Oh and one day there was also a koala up a tree!
We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Armidale but probably for a bit longer. I highly recommend Glenhope!!!

Glenhope is not only an interesting place to visit for the totally loveable alpacas but it is also a superlative B&B. The accommodation is very comfortable especially on a cold New England night. We were toasty under the alpaca doona! We chose the self service breakfast which was deposited discreetly in the adjoining laundry room. It was a generous country breakfast with juice, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, eggs and a basket of freshly baked hot bread and spreads. There is a nice sunny patio outside where we were visited by the two pet chooks. It is a real picture- book farm! Bron and David have paid attention to the details that matter - a fine selection of music, DVDs and books, real coffee and the plunger to make it.We want to come back again for longer next time.

Thank you for taking time to review Glenhope B&B. We are pleased you enjoyed connecting to the alpacas and our very friendly chooks. Fortunately it has warmed up, the wattles are in full bloom and spring is in the air. We do hope you are able to visit again.
