Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tranquil and serene gardens surround the beautiful accommodation, when you arrive at reception you a greeted so warmly by the owners Ian and Natalie who hand you some yummy chocolate brownies to enjoy with a cup of tea. We were so pleased by our pristine clean rooms, they are spacious and the beds are so comfy. The room has facilities to make a cuppa, sit down and just relax looking out over the garden and you might just get a visit from the ever so cute dog Remmy who is also very welcoming to his guests. We had an issue with our television not working but Ian was more than helpful and accomadating even going so far as to change it over to a new working one. There is a lovely restaurant with some delicious meals you can eat in or have room service, what more could we ask for?
Oh and the showers were divine and hot with great pressure it just eased the stresses of a long long drive. We very much look forward to staying on our return trip...
# They are also Pet friendly (at owners discretion) which was a great relief as we had our puppy Nobby travelling with us and sometimes it's so hard to find pet friendly accommodation.

I recently spent four very comfortable nights here relaxing after hurting myself accidentally on the way home from a holiday. Before COVID restrictions I had stayed at Moore Park Inn several times over the years and always enjoyed my experience and the location well off road in park like grounds.

The restaurant food, my last experience room service, is somewhat expensive but of good quality, I had the Rack of Lamb with Gravy, Mashed Potato and Asparagus.

Apart from an accounting error room overcharge and surcharge, since refunded after email exchanges, I recommend Moore Park Inn and enjoyed staying there.

Arrived after stated check-in time. Allocated room not cleaned. we were offered an upgrade, at no charge. Our room was large, fixtures and fittings good. Excellent bathroom. All very clean. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed, Sunday, but Covid can be blamed for staffing levels.
The grounds are lovely and whilst only a few hundred meters from the airport we heard only two planes. Plenty of parking.

I stayed in a generously-sized room with my 80+y.o. mother.
She noticed that the shower wasn’t draining well, so removed the drain assembly by lifting the tile and cleaned it herself! She subsequently reported it, and was barely thanked, nor apologised to for her efforts.
Concealed drains should be cleaned regularly by the staff, not by elderly guests. My stomach turns at the thought of my mother cleaning the drain without gloves.

We then turned up for breakfast at about 9.40am on a Sunday to be told that breakfast finished at 9.30, but had in fact finished earlier at 9.00am, because “everyone had come early.”
Not everyone, in fact.
The opening and closing times for breakfast were not posted visibly, so far as I am aware.

Nevertheless, we were allowed to help ourselves to cereals and some toast, some watermelon and berries were brought out. The urn was still hot, so we also had a single coffee bag in a plunger coffee pot.

Later, I was surprised to see on my bank statement that I had been charged $36.36. When I rang to ask about this charge, the same man who had taken our over-the-phone booking, been told about the partly-blocked drain, and who informed us that breakfast was finished, was quite hostile about the fact that we had been charged.

He said, “did you expect breakfast to be free?”
No, but I did expect to be able to enjoy a proper breakfast as part of the price of the room in what was promoted as a B and B,
not a B plus B.

For the very ordinary breakfast that we consumed, I would have preferred to spend my $36.36 somewhere where I wasn’t reminded so strongly of Basil Fawlty.

Most importantly, I didn’t authorise or sign for the $36.36, so the establishment clearly (improperly) recorded my card details and improperly charged me at their whim, without any authority.or discussion.

Neither my mother nor I shall return to Armidale’s very own Fawlty Towers.

We have been stopping here regularly for many years and it's very high standard never varies. The dog friendly rooms are of an equal standard with all the rooms, immaculate, and have recently been redecorated. It is situated in spacious grounds and is a lovely place to stay.

Wow what an experience I have had at Moore Park Inn and the irony is I never even got to stay there. I made my booking a couple of months before a Hockey Carnival May 22 I made my booking from the 19-23 May I wanted to change my departure date to the 22nd. Messaged Moore Park Inn via booking.com they messaged me back and said change date in the booking.com app. I couldn’t do it it wouldn’t allow me. So today I messaged again asking should I cancel my booking on booking.com and you simultaneously book me in on your system - I had no reply to this message. Contacted customer service booking.com and asked them to help me change departure date. They contacted Moore park inn and changed my booking to in 22nd out on the 23 cancelled our whole trip. Rang Moore Park Inn and whilst the cancellation went through someone else booked my room. No help whatsoever from Ian he couldn’t work out who booked the last room did not honour my booking and the related messages etc so won’t bother staying there at all thank goodness for Tattersalls having a room very professional. Ian you need to look after your customers this is not good enough.

The male host was welcoming, with mints and a chocolate brownie to go with our tea. The grounds were attractive in autumn hues. This motel allows pets. I’m pretty sure that’s the wet dog smell I could smell in our room. Eventually got used to it, but my eyes were itchy. I don’t want to share a room, even after cleaning, with animals. Dated furniture and fittings. Comfortable bed. Room chilly, although eventually warmer with the air conditioning set high. Female host unbolted the entry door to the breakfast room, but then walked away without opening it 😂 NOT welcoming!! I think you could do better for the price, which was on the high side.

From the moment you drive onto the property you know you’re in for a rare treat. I’ve stayed here a few times now and just can’t fault it. The reception team are very welcoming and make you feel like you’ve turned up to your good friend’s place rather than a commercial establishment. The rooms are spacious and very well provisioned. The restaurant is excellent, do yourself a favour and try the lamb, it’s excellent!

Another case of TripAdvisor's 5 point rating system being just too coarse. Regard this as a 3.5/5 score.
This is a charming location (the occasional flight into the airport not-withstanding) but it's out of town so one really needs a vehicle. We received a very friendly greeting at reception and appreciated the brownie that came with it. Our room was fine, tho' I am surprised that several reviews comment on the large size - really I wouldn't rate ours as more than average-sized. Breakfast was OK but a better choice of fresh fruit would have been nice. We were disappointed that dinner is no longer available as the reviews we had read were generally very favourable.

What a lovely place. Met immediately with such a warm welcome, fresh milk and home made chocolate brownies to have with a cup of tea. Room was lovely, incredibly clean, with a great shower and comfortable bed. Often small hotel restaurants are disappointing but definitely not here. Our meal was delicious and very generous, great selection of wines. Will be back.
