At the end of July my best friend, her daughter and boyfriend stayed at Lindsay House for two nights in three of the rooms.
Centrally located in the heart of Armidale we could walk to restaurants and cafes for breakfast and dinner.
Our host Pam, the owner greeted us on arrival and showed us to our designated rooms which were up the gorgeous staircase on the first floor.

Stunningly appointed is each room in the style and era of the house. Each room has an ensuite with plenty of towels and accessories to use during your stay.
The tea room on the first floor is bathed in sunlight for most of the day and provides tea and coffee, water, glasses, cups and milk in the fridge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will certainly be back and we would recommend Lindsay House as a amazing accommodation in Armidale, thank you to our lovely host, Pam

Such a great place to stay. Very ye olde world charm. Everywhere you look there are amazing antiques which curiously do not give a cluttered feel. We stayed in the Harris Room and I was expecting it to be smaller than the photo on the website. However, it was even better than expectations. Even though they do not provide breakfast, this did not present a problem as they are located close to various food amenities. There is a sunroom where you can make your tea or coffee.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and felt very comfortable.
Thank you!

Beautifully restored and cared for guesthouse. Walking distance to the centre of Armidale. Our host was very welcoming and there was tea and coffee available plus a night "chocolate" fix available. Great spot set in beautiful gardens.

We stayed in absolute comfort in this lovely old house. The host, Pam, was very friendly and full of great suggestions for eating, coffee, sight-seeing etc. Armidale itself is a wonderful place to visit and I’m looking forward to returning, sooner rather than later. Needless to say, we will be heading back to Lindsay House next time we visit this lovely city.

Room Tip: Rooms 1 and 2 are the best, I think, because they overlook the park and receive plenty of sunlight.

I loved the home, cozy, elegantly furnished, walking distance to town. The lovely little fireplace at the bottom of the staircase gives the home that extra classy touch. I booked a standard double room over the phone and was upgraded to the master suite upon arrival. The hostess Pam is lovely, friendly and overall a great host! I can’t recommend this enough! I was also lucky to even get a sprinkle of snow as I love winter very much.
Thank you kindly, I will be back again!

I arrived after dark and entry was easy and Lindsay House welcoming with good lighting and soft background music. I was the only guest in a 6 bedroom historic mansion and had the run of the place to myself! Peaceful and quiet, with well decorated bedrooms, beautiful bed linen. The tea and coffee laid out in the sunroom was elegant with lots of choices. Enjoy the curio cabinets in the hallways!

We stayed for 3 nights, while the house has charm sorry to say the service wasn't great. The room wasn't cleaned for the 3 days we stayed. Not fresh towels, no bed made except by us, no waste basket in room, nothing at all provided except tea and coffee in a small tea room. no draws to put clothes away, really apart from an old house there wasn't much. sorry but based on the reviews and rating we had higher expectations and were let down.

I arrived after a very busy day of outdoor activities. My warm room welcomed as the last the sun’s setting rays cast through the trees. The shower was superb and it took a lot of determination to leave this warm and cosy abode for dinner. A gorgeous place to stay, tastefully decorated and beautifully restored. Thank you again Pam.

A beautiful old home. Beautifully decorated with sumptuous amenities. Perfectly located - walk to shops & cafes - quiet and spacious. No meals available but there is a lovely tea room.
Happy to visit again. A lovely place with a thoughtful and welcoming host.

The property had the street appeal and quaint ambiance that one would expect for the price but on arrival this was all tarnished by the pompous Faulty Towers like pretentiousness of the male host whose demeanor sullied what should have been a pleasant experience. For the price the breakfast was underwhelming and the floor boards groaned unmercifully, the coffee bags supplied were execrable and while there was an expresso machine that seem to endlessly supply the staff with coffee, none was offered to the guests. Save your pennies and look elsewhere.
