Detailed Reviews
Don't be put off by the now-empty bleak courtyard with no obvious "Garden". Unfortunately the palms that once graced one corner have had to be removed.
This is a great simple motel to stay in. Our corner room was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean, quiet and had everything you'd need (with little extras such as more than usual biscuits) and a generous cold breakfast with big fluffy muffins, cereal and jellied fruit delivered to the room.
Above all, the managers, Jazzy and Janith, couldn't be more helpful, charming and friendly. We had a couple of unexpected special needs and they went out of their way to see that they were met. Service over and above.
The motel is only two blocks from the main street, which has plenty of cafes and restaurants, and there's a KFC almost opposite.

We have stayed at Garden Court Albury a number of times over the past 2 years and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Albury. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The beds are extremely comfortable. The rooms have everything that you will need during your stay such as microwave, air conditioner, TV, dining table for 2, ensuite bathroom with shower, spacious vanity, hairdryer, toiletries, kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits, cutlery, plates, cups. Continental breakfast is included as part of the room rate. For us it feels like a home away from home when we are in Albury. The Managers and staff are always pleasant to deal with, polite and always very keen to help the guests. Would rate higher than 5 stars if I was able to.

As a family of 4, we arrived at 9.30pm. We expected the older style motel but we were pleasantly surprised. Everything we needed was there and it was well presented. They are very generous with extra pillows, blankets, shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower caps, dental kits, free bottle of water, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, etc. For a road trip stopover, this motel is you need at a very reasonable price. We would definitely stay here again.

Albury was out first accommodation stop for a 2 week road trip. When we arrived there was a mix up regard our booking. We had booked a Deluxe Twin Room as we were traveling with our son. Booked via Agoda; confirmed 2 Adults/1 Child. The lady at reception said that we had not booked a Twin and the booking was for only 2 Adults. Luckily I had a printed copy of my receipt and even once shown to her- she would not acknowledge. The reception area was not air conditioned and had a heavy aroma of food smells. After being told there were no more available rooms a solution of an extra bed being put in the room we were given was supplied. However no apology or acknowledgement that they had given our room away.
The “extra” bed was prompted done by Adrian & the reception lady. The room was clean, at request extra towels for my son were delivered. Although fully booked- it was quiet. Upon leaving, Adrian made mention that next time we visit to book a twin room. Sorry Albury Garden Court- don’t think there will be a next time.

Welcoming, well organised, courteous, with totally unexpected but welcome offers of help.
Bed comfortable, small kitchenette including microwave, an effective fridge, good wifi, lots of space.
Optional breakfast for $5 consisted of muesli, yoghurt, fruit, juice, bread for toast, butter and two spreads. Pretty good value I reckon.
The motel is a bit old, but provides a sense of welcome and comfort.

Well appointed room with queen bed and adequate cooking facilities (microwave, hot water jug). Suitable sized dining table. easy chairs and small outside courtyard. Easy walk to main shops via wide streets. We arrive early and staff allowed us to put luggage into room while they finished cleaning it and we walked off to lunch. Air conditioning was a boon as it was a hot couple of days and staff left it on while we were out. Two lovely quite nights - would stay again as we were visiting relatives in Albury and surrounds

Our room was not large, but enough room for us. Kitchenette was near the door and very squishy. The microwave needs to be on a shelf up higher, this would make the area much better. We were told we could get in a little earlier that 2pm, but cleaners were still there for quite a while. Also advertised free laundry available. We waited & waited, but with only one washer, and they were washing all the sheets, towels etc, we gave up. Opted to find another place as we had a load to do. A very good one just up the road.
We were at the motel on a Saturday night - there were loud people all night, and outside, moving between their rooms, talking loudly. Very dissapointed. The Sunday night was very quite.

I don’t know if the hotel is under new management, but someone is certainly making an effort with this motel. Our room, while older, was partially renovated with new carpet, curtains, fresh paint + many new fixtures and fittings. There were also unexpected extras included such as toothbrushes, shaving kit and slippers. The room and premises felt fresh and clean. We were very pleasantly surprised by the breakfast tray which was brought to our room-a fantastic touch. The location is great-walking distance to Main Street shops and restaurants and the staff were all really lovely. Highly recommended.

DODGY AS.
My daughter and I stayed in the two bedroom apartment. It was strange experience. You get the feeling it’s someone else’s home they’ve vacated for your stay.
The kitchen and bathroom are very old and very daggy. The pots and pans are mismatched and bashed and not exactly clean. The kitchen was clean enough and the bathroom was okay except for the plug holes that were gross.
The oven has been boarded over and the gas cooktop is very old and can only be started with matches or one of those gun-shaped fire lighters.
There were leftover, opened and half used pantry items in two cupboards (one in the kitchen and one, oddly in the hallway) which again gave the impression it was someone’s regular home.
The shower is over the bathtub and is so slippery it was an exercise in gymnastics to get in and out without having a fall.
The tv only had free to air channels.
Basically, avoid it if you can.
The people who run the motel are nice but that doesn’t make up for the overall weirdness of the place.
It’s just dodgy as.

We had a wonderful stay - three beds so kids were happy, lovely pool, and wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to meet guests' needs; Janith and Jazz are amazing. Gardens appear to be recently replanted and some still being upgraded. Room was spotless and inviting, comfy beds and pillows, plenty of toiletries and huge continental breakfast to room included. Nice bathroom with gorgeous old tiled floor. Although this is an older place, the rooms have been made to look modern and very comfortable inside. Microwave, crockery, toaster etc is provided if needed. Lovely and helpful touches abound.
Great location, with a multitude of restaurants and cafes a 5 minute walk away and KFC almost opposite if that's your thing.
