Atura Albury stands out for its prime location, with guests frequently praising its proximity to local dining and entertainment. The hotel's service earns compliments for its attentive staff, although some cleaning issues have been called out. Travelers enjoy the distinctive, eclectic atmosphere and comfortable rooms, yet opinions on value for money diverge, with some deeming the hotel overpriced. While the cleanliness generally garners positive remarks, a few guests suggest there's room for improvement. Amenities are deemed adequate, but again, some guests believe enhancements are necessary.

The function room and food were great - so all guests at the function enjoyed that one room. However, as I stayed for multiple nights...
The restaurant and foyer sofas were filthy dirty - low lighting doesn't help. I did not want to sit on them with at risk of ruining my nice new Italian suit. My room was tidy though dated. A major issue was that the carpets in the room and hallways were loose, frayed and a dangerous tripping hazard. My lounge/sofas were also requiring a thorough steam clean. My bathroom did not have an exhaust fan to remove the shower steam, or residual odours. Food trays of guests were left in the hallways from dinner the night before were not cleaned up by 10am the next morning when we were leaving! That is also a safety and hygiene hazard.
The buffet breakfast offered did not have a huge selection and not value for money. A short walk down the street provides cafes and restaurants.
There was fresh linen on the bed; the water was hot; and I could open the windows a few inches to let some fresh air into the stale rooms.
The foyer staff were pleasant and helpful for payment issues (Apple Pay incurred additional charge).
For the cost I thought this was not great value for money. Based on the lack of cleanliness and safety issues, I cannot recommend nor would I return.

We had taken the long and winding road from Paynesville via the Great Alpine Road and upon arrival there had been a mix up with our reservation, not caused by the hotel but by us as we had booked many months in advance and had to shuffle some of our trip due to floods in Victoria.

The long and the short of it was that they had to move things around to fit us into a similar prepaid room. The receptionist went out of her way to make things right for us.

Parking on site was easy to find and navigate, it was also easy to get our luggage up to our room from the carpark without any difficulty.

Very funky and well appointed hotel which was a pleasure to stay at. I highly recommended it. I am not usually in the habit of posting pictures of hotel bathrooms, but this one was very special. The other pic is of the foyer and bar area.

Our stay at the Atura was amazing! From the delicious buffet breakfast, comfy beds, spacious room, refreshing pool swims to the awesome convenient location , our weekend was made!
We even got a special deal emailed to us as we were members to stay an extra night at a discounted price which was very thoughtful and worth it!

Get more staff!!
So more than enough times I have rung from my room to reception or from outside and no answer no opportunity to leave a message' Another time mid afternoon rang from outside on my mobile ring ring then straight to hold music over 5mins in with no instructions on audio as to what was happening I had to hang up very annoying. Considering stayed 8 nights did not ask for the make up of the room until Tuesday night (5th night) after a long day looking to relax shower get into a freshly made bed, found my room untouched not even the plates I left outside the door had been taken just the bin i left next to them had been emptied
Adding to my frustration purchased a 1 litre container of mum's fav gelato because the store did not open on time Sunday gave it to reception, requested they put it in the Atura Albury freezer, your room fridge has no freezer capacity. Next afternoon asked reception (same staff member) to collect it she came back announced that she had given the ice-cream to another member of Atura Albury and they had put it in the refrigerator NOT the freezer. Asked to chat to the GM Monday when possible , too busy with meetings all day apparently.
Finally have left some items in the room ................so the nightmare continues

Regards
Angus Barnes

This stay was a disappointment from start to finish.

On checking into our room we had to call reception on the first night at about 9pm as the air conditioner was making a loud noise which would have made sleep impossible. The young man who came up identified the noise as a major issue straight away and made us move to another room for the night. The room we were moved to had a faulty LED light which flashed all night and once awake, it was impossible to return to sleep. Upon returning to our belongings the next morning to have a shower we were advised that we would now have to change room for the remainder of our 6 night stay, back to the room with a faulty light. I told the manager that this was fine but we would need the light fixed.

After moving our belongings to the new room, and being assured the light would be fixed we went down for breakfast, only to find that breakfast had now finished, and as we didnt book in we couldnt get breakfast anyway. Nobody had told us you needed to booking for a buffet breakfast, and if we had not been made move all our belongings to another room we would have made it before breakfast finished.

After returning to the room the second night we turned the lights on and the flashing light had not been fixed. I called reception and was offered to be moved to ANOTHER room which I said no to, and that I wanted it fixed, now. The duty manager came up and looked at the light and decided she was going to take it off the wall completely. She disappeared and about half an hour later another duty manager appeared, and she said SHE would take it off the wall. She returned with clearly the wrong tools for the job and she tried to remove the light unsuccessfully. She then told me that she would get someone else to come up. He came up at around 11.00pm and at about 11.30pm the light was removed.

We have stayed at Atura Albury previously, and we have stayed at Atura Blacktown on multiple occasions, and we have never had a bad experience. This however was sufficiently bad that the next time we travel we will have significant reservations about ever booking in at an Atura again.

Tired rooms. Filthy rooms. Great location. Excellent ground level staff.
We spent Easter weekend at Atura, loved the location, ground level restaurant, reception and staff were exceptional but it’s a totally different experience when you head to you room. Room was filthy with unbearable dust. Not cleaned properly. A discarded pill from a previous guest was missed on the floor and picked up bu curious child. won’t mention when we found when pulling out the couch/bed. Cleaning staff tried to access our room on two occasions before we checked out and were very rude. We started packing our car and came back to cleaner in our room, had already stripped the bed, yet we were still 1.5hes away from check out AND had told them twice (when they tired to enter room while we were sleeping) that we were not checking out until 11am.
Absolutely flabbergasted about the cleaning staff, this also happened to the room beside, and across from us. Won’t be staying again.

I liked the spacious room which included a desk and chair, and a lounge. I particularly liked the opening window, which I used as I couldn’t seem to change the air-conditioning in the room. The mattress was softer than I would have liked, but I still slept well as my room (on the 6th floor) was quiet. I thought the lighting was a bit dim in the room. A great shower with steady hot water in a sparkling clean bathroom was greatly appreciated. Check-in was relatively easy and the breakfast was tasty. The team were very friendly and helpful. Parking was plentiful, although not under cover. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay at Atura again.

We (family of 2 adults & 2 kids) stayed here for a night on way from Sydney to Melbourne. On the way back we stayed at Astor Albury.

Atura is recently renovated. Our room was clean and modern. Large wardrobe, clean modern bathroom, comfortable beds. Lobby has reception, bar and restaurant (although not open on Sundays or Mondays so we couldn’t use). Pool out the back (we ate takeaway dinner at the pool area tables.
Service in the evening is limited (not always someone at reception). At a nice, quiet end of town.

Main Bed more comfortable (vs Astor a double with an old Mattress - but Astor had 2 proper singles vs a double sofa bed with thin mattress for kids at Atura)
Room and bathroom recently renovated (vs Astor old)
Good aircon, TV & wifi (vs Astor average)

⚡️EV Charging: they do have a single (CCS2) charging point in the parking lot, however it’s very slow - same speed as plugging into a normal PowerPoint at home. So even though we had it charging for 12+ hours it didn’t fully charge. And if another car is already there - bad luck. Best not to count on charging here.

A long weekend in Albury and we loved our time at Atura Albury. Room rates around the $200 mark (suggest you join their club to gain discounts prior to booking). Tasteful and spacious rooms with well appointed bathroom. The location of Atura Albury is brilliant, you can leave the car and walk around town, with plenty of dining options within a five minute walk.

Service is excellent, as are the facilities with a nice bar, pool table and music to enjoy a nice glass of wine.

Cannot recommend the Atura Albury high enough and when we re-visit the region, we will stay there again.

This was our first visit to Albury and the Atura proved to be the perfect location. Not a massive resort but very comfortable and had everything we needed . Walking distance from the main shopping area, restaurants, cinema, Botanical Gardens, the popular Noreuil Park Foreshore where you can enjoy lovely walking trails, picnic in the park or along the Murray River and of course a very refreshing swim in the Murray itself. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room( King Deluxe) was great although the mini fridge what I would call a mini mini fridge (can't fit much in there and plenty of room in the cavity for a user friendly fridge). The bed was sooo comfortable and had a very relaxing sleep. We requested a higher floor (6) with a view and that's what we got. A view over the Botanical Gardens. The pool was a bit on the small size but clean. We preferred to swim in the River. Buffet breakfast was ok serving the main basics. Plenty of parking for guests at the back of the resort. We opted for the ‘go green initiative’ ( room not serviced that day) and loved that this was an option to save $10 a day. You can request additional towels, soap, shampoo etc.. from reception. By signing up as a member before bookings, you can receive accommodation and meal discounts. We would stay there again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Wellllll, I’m not fussy. The selection of juice is good but bottled, the eggs are scrambled but good. There is bacon and tomato and sausages and beans. A selection of dreads. Some fruit as well and yogurt. The coffee is ok as well from a machine. I’d pay $20 at my local cafe in Sydney so yes I think value for money. Bon appetite , Matthew
