Our room was very quiet and perfect for sleeping. We were near the big pool but it was a bit cold for us, BUT there was an indoor swimming pool that was fabulous. Not too hot! We also enjoyed table tennis, pool and putt putt in the evenings. Only annoyed that we could not safely lock our glass sliding door from the outside, so one of us had to walk the long way around. Receptionist didn't seem bothered at all. We were there 4 nights.

We only live 10 minutes away but chose to have a night at the Siesta for the long weekend rather than travel too far in these covid times. Unfortunately half the resort is closed off so we couldn't play mini golf, use the outside pool or have breakfast in the Cantina restaurant. Other than that everything was great. Both ladies we saw at reception were lovely and the host Stephen is always welcoming. Our room was a good size even with 3 singles and a queen bed and the beds were very comfortable. Nicely decorated. We paid extra when booking to get chocolates and a cheese platter for my birthday and they were well worth the money. A big box of chocolates and the cheese platter was beautifully presented. We got a lot of use out of the indoor pool and spa. This is a great area, lovely and warm and plenty of room to spread out. It was suggested we play squash as mini golf was shut and that was a bit of fun with the kids. We dined at the Bullring and it was great as always (see separate review). We had to get room service breakfast, no other option. No options for the kids so lucky had packed some weetbix. There was a charge for them to deliver it which seemed unfair when the restaurant was closed as we would have much rather gone there then eat in our room. All up it was a great break and we all enjoyed ourselves and felt very relaxed and comfortable there.

We booked through Bookings.com a pool view room, the hotel deducted our charges well in advance
On arrival we went to our room near the pool BUT our only view was a brick wall no balcony or external table & chairs.
With paperwork in hand we spoke to the desk only to be told that our booking was made through a third party & we have no control over what the offer. "WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH" The hotels place their offers into the third part site. Unfortunately the pool view rooms were all booked so we stayed were we where.
This is a large complex with many different room offerings so please choose you room carefully.
The front of the complex is your typical drive in motel complex with only driveway & car parking views.
The rear has a loop road around the rooms & large central Pool not all rooms here have pool views.
Our room was large & well appointed looked like the photo's obviously recently refurbished. Could not complain about the actual room, only no view.
The site has several swimming pools, inside & out, a mini tennis court, mini golf & kids play area, the motel was very popular with families.
We also book the full breakfast both mornings, $19.90, continental $15.90.
The continental consisted of your choice of Cereals, toast, pastries, croissants, fruit salad, yoghurt , juice, tea, coffee.A fantastic choice & serving.
If you opted for the full breakfast you could select from the above plus some or all of the hot selection which included Eggs of your choice , bacon, Mushrooms, tomato, spinach, sausage, black pudding, lambs fry, baked beans & steak yes steak & it is a full size serving so be careful what you order.
Yes service was a little slow as they cook most things on demand it is served at your table & is lovely & hot. YES Covid has control.
An excellent breakfast.

Dear David H Thank you for posting your review on Trip Advisor, your comments on our resort are much appreciated and it was great to see that you enjoyed having breakfast with us in the mornings, yes Covid has affected our procedures but we need to comply with state regulations as guidance to see us through all this, I am sorry that you did not receive a view of the pool as your third party online booking indicated but it is something that we are not in controll of, we did offer to move you, for the remainder of your stay, to a room with a view of the pool, however you declined the offer due to the inconvenience of moving , which I totally understand, may I suggest that next time a quick call to our reservations team would be a way to ensure a special request, we do hope to see you again when next in Albury Yours Sincerely Stephen Jones

Rooms were recently refurbished. Our room’s floor under the carpet layer had a lose board that didn’t sit flush, made a mound in the carpet, and I tripped in it twice. I’m not that uncoordinated but yet didn’t expect the floor to not be flat. Kids tripped on it all the time but they were ok about it. Kids enjoyed the facilities but having to wear a wrist band was a little bitter, but I guess it kept outsiders from using the facilities. Outdoor pool very murky and full of debris. Indoor pool clean. Sombrero spa a laugh. Our rooms walls very thin we could hear everything said by neighbouring guests, their footsteps, even the crinkle of their chip packet as they put their hands in 😕 so I’m sure they heard us too, and us having little kids meant they were worse off when it came to our noise! Lots of cigarette butts at our doorstep. We are non smokers so assume it is from guests previous. Understand that housekeeping probably run off their feet but golly certainly someone could sweep them up. We’re there for our whole stay.

The bed was very comfortable. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool and games room. Breakfast was overpriced and understaffed. For $35, you’d expect a decent cup of coffee as minimum but they wanted another $6 for that. They offered the use of a coffee machine which a couple of staff members tried to use but it was declared unworkable while they grumbled that they needed more staff. The food itself was ok but nothing fancy. Breakfast at McDonalds would have been much better.

We booked three nights in a Deluxe King Suite and lasted one night. We wanted to go away and relax after recovering from Covid. Unfortunately, this is not a relaxing resort as advertised, this is a re-furbished motel around a very noisy pool. When we arrived in the room, we soon realised that the rooms advertised for couples, “Book one of our beautifully appointed, poolside King Suites complete with private balcony.” were actually right on top of the pool area. There is absolutely no sound proofing, closing the glass doors does not block out the sound from the pool area. The balcony is not private as you are sitting alongside the extremely noisy pool area (children yelling, jumping into the pool, people playing music etc...) We went to the desk and asked to be moved to a quieter room, they were very helpful and offered us a queen suite instead. Unfortunately, this was just an ordinary motel room over-looking a carpark, this did not resemble a resort at all, so we decided to stay in the comfortable room we had paid for. We arrived in the afternoon and unfortunately the excessive noise went until 10.30pm. Prior to booking I phoned to ask if all facilities were opened and was told yes. However, when we got there the signature restaurant and bar on their website were not opened the only option for dinner was the Cantina with below average meals. On the website it says in the description for the couple’s weekend package, "Treat your partner to a classic weekend away and escape to a 4 1/2 star resort. Simply arrive, relax and unwind with your significant other." This is not a place for couples to relax at all, it is more like a fancy caravan park with noisy children from 9am to 10.30pm.

Dear 405marylou Trip Advisor was designed as a platform for regular travellers to share honest, unbiased experiences with each other, you are only using it to further your online persecution of our property , I do note that this is your very first review. I am surprised that during the January school holidays that you did not expect to find families holidaying ,yes the pool is busy during this time and on a hot Summer day there will be people swimming in it, we did try another area for you but you chose to return to the pool area accommodation , I am disappointed that you chose to cut short your stay with us ,during these latest covid times it has been extremely difficult to staff and supply the resort , we only attempted to run one restaurant during this period with a blend of both menus to satisfy everyone , we have obviously let you down , may I suggest that you may like to try us in midweek in a non holiday period and you may find it more suitable to your requirements Yours Sincerely Stephen Jones P.S. Bring the Jayco, I will try for a powered site away from the pool but near the toilets

Room okay but too expensive - cups and saucers provided but no other crockery, utensils or glasses (only 2 wine glasses) and when you are catering for families, these items are needed. Room does have toaster and kettle but no microwave. Outdoor and indoor pools are the best part of this Resort and if not for these, would have given a lower rating. Very disappointed with the mini golf area, as very run down looking and needs a good clean up. Also found the Games Room not that clean. With the ongoing Covid issues, I would think that sanitizer should be made available at all of the recreational areas, as equipment was left out to use.

We stayed here on the way home to Sydney from Melbourne. I realise that the management can't dictate who stays, however we were unlucky enough to have a group stay near us. They arrived around 10pm. After several hours of them knocking on doors, calling out to each other and thumping overhead, they decided to congregate outside or bedroom window to smoke. At 1.30am we rang reception who very promptly asked them to go back to their rooms. We then had more thumping, door knocking etc. We must have got to sleep around 3. At 5.30 it started all over again, necessitating another call to reception. The walls and ceilings must be made out of paper, certainly no sound proofing involved. Absolutely no complaints with the person on reception, but strangely i wasn't even asked whether we enjoyed our stay when I checked out. We did not eat at the motel, the dinner and breakfast menus looked like something from the 1960s. We will not stay there again. (Water glasses in the room would have nice to have. )

Dear Virginia R Very sorry to see your review on our property , and I am also sorry that you were subjected to noise problems , I was the person that dealt with the issue as there was no night manager on duty that night , if it is any consolation we did ask the offenders to leave the next day due to their disrespectful behaviour , it is not something that we condone in our property , I do hope that you will reconsider us in the future and I would personally like to take your booking and guarantee you a comfortable experience , I do hope that you reconsider us in the future Yours Sincerely Stephen Jones

This motel is being used for COVID quarantine . The back section is all closed off but the front end is still operating. Wouldn’t mind so much if they were truthful about this but it’s all been hidden and Upon booking I was told the outdoor pool and outdoor hot tub wing was closed. When I asked why I was told very rudely that they chose too . Could just tell the truth and let people make their own informed decision !!!!!! And they are still charging FULL price for use of only half a resort NO Use of Tennis courts , MINI golf, outdoor pools or outdoor hot tubs !!!!

Dear L353MBlisab Very disappointing to see you have taken your social media attack on us to Trip Advisor , I do note that it is your first review , you did not stay with us or even make a booking so I do not see how you can rate us a 1 bubble property , however I will respond to your issues. We have entered into a short term agreement with Murrumbidgee Health Services to use part of our property for isolation purposes , this is a a very professionally run organisation with public safety being number 1 priority , and we are pleased to being able to help the Albury and surrounding communities after being identified as the most suitable in the area for their needs. There are no people isolating at the current time. We have been very transparent with all our guests on this matter and frankly I am encouraged by the support shown to us. Your call at 6.15 am in the morning was taken by me , I was not rude to you and I explained that the rear half of the property was closed , I certainly did not say it was because we chose to , you were more interested in getting a discount than anything else and when I refused you became irritated , I do hope that these difficult and trying times for businesses and people are over soon and we can all return to how things were Yours Sincerely Stephen Jones

Large and quiet rooms with modern furnishings and bathroom. Great shower pressure and luggage storage. Very clean room. Minibar had obligatory items (Red Rock Deli chips were expired). The restaurant and breakfast was okay. If I knew they were powdered scrambled eggs, I would have got fried eggs instead. Overall a great place to stay with absolutely lovely staff. Would stay here again.

Dear stefa483 Thank you for posting such a great review on Trip Advisor, I do appreciate you taking the time to write it , your comments on our staff , rooms and cleanliness will be displayed for all the team to see , I am sorry about the chips but the border closures and the covid shutdowns have left a few gaps in our regular procedures , we are rectifying this as I write , and I am sorry to contradict you but powdered scrambled eggs are not something that I would even consider using , even if all the chooks caught covid 19 ,we only use fresh eggs and milk made daily for our scrambled eggs , I would like to thank you again and we do hope to see you in the near future Yours Sincerely Stephen Jones
