Opposite the S,S.& A club and easy walk to the CBD, Reasonable size room with nice hot water. Microwave, tea making facilities, fridge and china and useful cutlery provided. Acts as a service for those needing a home but orderly and occupants were of no bother to us. Would stay again.

We stayed the previous night in another motel (Albury Manor House) and decided to stay an extra night. No rooms available so we went for a drive to find alternative accommodation near to town. We chose this place largely because of the sign outside announcing spa / sauna, which appealed to our older child. Payment up front was requested, which we found a bit unusual but maybe it's just the norm for some hotels. We were disappointed when we saw our room. For only $5 per night less than the Albury Manor, it was a huge drop in standards. There was plenty of room for our family of four, with a queen bed, a single and bunk beds, but it was just not a very appealing room. The carpet was stained in places (with a particularly obvious one right in front of the fridge) and with shoes off, it had that slightly sticky feel that carpets get when they need a good clean. The shower screen had a large crack in it and the grout in the shower was dirty or stained in places. The bunk bed frame was grubby and the rungs on the ladder were falling apart (could be quite dangerous if used by little children). After we went out shopping, our 12 year old daughter went searching for the spa. No luck, so my husband asked about it, to be told "it hasn't been going for three years as it's too expensive to run". Okay, fair enough - but with the sign still outside advertising "spa & sauna" after all this time, you have to wonder when it becomes deceptive? We also asked if the pool could be used, but were told the ph levels were not right and besides, it would be freezing. I didn't feel it was warm enough to swim yet anyway (September visit) but the kids didn't agree! They thought they should be allowed to use the pool if they wanted to, even if the adults thought it was too cold. It was Saturday night and I found it very difficult to sleep because of the noise from the pub on the corner. On the plus side, the sheets were clean, extra blankets were available and the beds were fine. We walked to the main street and it was an easy five / ten minutes so the location is quite good. However, more cons than pros. We wouldn't stay again and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It needs to be honest about what it is (take down the sign advertising the spa!) and put the prices right down or do some serious maintenance and clean the place right up.

Have stayed at Fountain Court about 4 times over the past 10 years and stayed again whilst attending the Ulyssess AGM. A friend was also attending the AGM and I recommended Fountain Court. That was a mistake. In both rooms the vanity basin was cracked, the shower screens were broken. The bathroom light and fan failed in my room and after initially being told that nothing could be done as the electrician was in Melbourne a local electrician was engaged. Then the power point supplying the television failed. The breakfasts were over cooked. Very disappointed with the accommodation and the attitude of management. Will not stay at Fountain Court again.

While I am not somebody who enjoys leaving an unpleasant review, unfortunately the management at Fountain Court Motel are extremely slack and need to take a good hard look at themselves. Pretty sure they don't even care about all the bad reviews they are getting, but the message has to get out there that this place is no good for travelers especially young families.

So when we first arrived at our room it was quite clear that the cleaner didn't take the time to clean the bathroom sufficiently or maybe not at all. But this appears to be a frequent occurrence. The benches were still dirty, the shower hadn’t been cleaned and the bar fridge was also dirty and completely unacceptable. When going to complain there was already another couple at reception complaining about the state of their room demanding their money back. We probably should have done the same but gave the manager every opportunity to put things right, but unfortunately, he did not deliver and continued to disappoint.

After our initial complaint we were moved to a room that was sufficient, however the remote for the tv was missing and the TV was unable to be used. After we complained we were told by the manager that they had plenty of Tv’s and it would be replaced and we would have a workable TV. This was all good so we went to the pool for a swim. The pool area was full of beer bottle caps even in the pool itself which isn't great for children's feet if stepped on. Later in the evening about 930pm I noticed people who I assume were full time residents boozing around the pool, which explains the bottle caps being left everywhere.

Anyway Some 3 hours after our complaint about the TV remote and being promised a new TV nothing had been rectified so we rang reception and were told that the manager had left for the day and there were no tv’s available for us to use. This also appears to be a frequent occurrence and not and accident. While I can live without a tv, after the dirty room scenario I would have thought the manager would have wanted to make things right, but apparently not.

Another thing I didn't like was the fact people could smoke where they liked as long as it was outside. People were smoking right outside our room and every time we opened the door smoke would waft in and our room would smell of cigarettes. There was nowhere for the butts to be thrown so they were all over the pathway. How about a designated smoking area away from the guest rooms with proper facilities to dispose of the butts? This is just common sense really.

Only 1 glass for 4 people, how is that going to work? Cutlery was provided but not enough for everyone in the room, no bin liner on the bin and also no soap. These are just simple easy fixes and reflects badly on the manager.

Appears to be a lot of full time residents living there and interesting people arriving at all hours of the night.

My advise is to anybody stopping over in Albury especially with children and looking for somewhere to stay, please dent make the same mistake I did and give this place a miss.

Unclean toilet; dusty bedside tables; food stains on chairs; no toiletries in the bathroom on arrival (not even soap on the shower); phone to reception broken; air conditioning that was inadequate for the room....and a manager who didn’t seem to think these issues were much of a problem and refused to give us the name of the owner of the motel. We had booked ahead for our overnight stay so there was no excuse for the state of this room. Just appalling.

This has got to be the worst motel I have been to in my life. So much so that after being ripped off and charged $165 for a night, we walked into the room, took one look, left the key and walked straight out. Would prefer to throw $165 down the toilet rather than stay in the room. I'm guessing a room in a detention centre would be better than this. The room smelt musty. Would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor than on the bed. Very little light as only 2 small windows. Profanities written on the bar fridge. Greeted by sounds of a woman screaming at crying children and a person checking out our car a little too intently. Seriously if this motel is set up to assist people in hardship that is great but do not have the audacity to charge $165 a night for a room that is not fit to house an animal let alone a paying guest. Shame on you

Note: I never leave negative reviews without speaking with management, I have called them only to be told that they would not offer any refund at all, We paid extra for a spa room. $220 per night.
We arrived to reception at 3:30, nobody to check us in, we were told the key was under the door mat. Thought this was weird, but whatever.
Got to the room to half the lights not working.
Again weird, but whatever. No big deal.
Went up put beer in mini bar fridge only to find the previous guests beers still in the freezer section. Fridge obviously not cleaned out.
Went to have a shower, only to find a full face of makeup already on the said face washer.
Grabbed the hand towel to use instead, again, this was also dirty.
Given we had no bath mat I used the dirty hand towel instead.
Towels themselves were clean,
Got home about 12:30am, go to jump into bed, you guessed it, dirty bed linen as well.
Next door neighbours had tv on until 1:30am then started arguing, the language was disgusting. (Not that the owners can be blamed for this, however from what we saw, I assume these people were permanent residents here)

I booked this thinking, it’s only one night, how bad could it be ?!
NEVER AGAIN !!!!

It was really difficult to give 1 star as it did have running water, toilet and hot shower. The room was unclean and had obviously not been used for a while as evident of layers of dust, blanket on the bed was dirty, bin in bathroom had not been emptied, surfaces not cleaned and when looking for a spoon 2 spoons were stuck together in a bowl that had clearly not been washed up from last visitors. Overall it was a horrible experience and I would never recommend this place to anyone. The experience was enhanced by a chain smoker sitting at our window.

Where to begin, food crumbs on the carpet, dirty fridge with hairs in it. filthy dirty toilet with dried urine on floor that had a big black hair stuck in it ( not ours as I am blonde, my husband is bald) Wine glass with lip marks on it, We had to clean bathroom floor as was sticky. But the absolute best part was the bloke next door with his dog in room with him and his mates. Party began at 11.30pm, music finally turned down but not off at 4.15am only after another pounding on his wall to shut up, we left at 8.15am and they were still going.
We payed for spa room and ended up with spa nightmare.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this motel at all cost...........

I loved the location just accross the road from the SSNA but that's where the positives end.
Dirty room, half a toilet roll, almost empty soap and shampoo containers, a chair was broken and half fixed by nails holding 2 planks of wood, uncomfortable beds, moth holes in the curtains , one curtain not attached properly so we couldn't close it and the worst of all was semen on the bed valance.
