We enjoyed a very comfy night here at Briardale. Beds are comfortable, service is good and brekky was ok.

This B&B is a new build so can be rather twee at times but the rooms are spacious and have all you need.

All in all I would definitely return as it is a good option in Albury, which is very short of good choices.

Our second visit to Briardale enroute to Sydney. Not so much a B&B but a "home from Home". Rob and Robyn are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Very comfortable room and bed, excellent breakfast. Felt like we were visiting old friends.

This is one of the best bed and breakfast house I've ever stayed. My husband myself and my 20 month old son all enjoyed it. Good size bedroom good size living room and good size beautiful garden. House has been nicely decorated. My little one also love to talk to bird in the backyard. Robert is very nice and friendly. Definitely will come back next time.

We broke our trip from Sydney to Melbourne by stopping here and glad we did. A lovely quiet residential area but you could be out in the country with the birdlife and peace. The home has been beautifully restored and extended to a high quality. Rob & Robyn were excellent hosts even if Rob wouldn't cook us dinner :). He does do a damn fine breakfast! We will happily stay here again

We stayed one night at Briardale and already planning our next visit ! What a beautiful home, decorated with style and with the most incredible collection of antiques! Rob and Robyn were great hosts , and we enjoyed the chats with rob in the parlor , while enjoying an afternoon refreshment :-)
Breakfast was delicious and consisted of cereals, yoghurt and fruit followed by a full cooked breakfast!
We stayed in the blue room. The bed was very comfortable, and like the rest of the house our room was decorated beautifully. Located close to restaurants etc, but away from traffic noises , we would definitely recommend Briardale to anyone visiting albury.
Thanks for your hospitality Rob and Robyn :-))
Regards Liz and Steve Davies

I had the chance to stay in a hotel in Albury that would have probably been more convenient as I didn't have a car but don't regret staying here instead. The walk to the pub for dinner took about 20-30 minutes but was easy. Rob is an interesting guy. If you have any sort of interest in cars/bikes get him to show you his classic car/bikes. A significant segment of the house was added by him a few tears back but totally in keeping with the characterful original. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Breakfast was very good. The garden must be a labour of love and is beautiful. Do check it out ahead of any of the hotels.

We would like to add to the well deserved praise for the people, the rooms, the garden, etc. at Briardale. Sitting in the morning watching the birds in the peaceful garden was a joy. The local pub which was recommended by Robert a good place for a meal after a long drive. As others have said Briardale is packed with old world charm, so if that is what you want come here. We did and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Albury can be easily reached from Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra in half a day whereas to drive directly between Sydney or Canberra and Melbourne is demanding to say the least, making this a good place to break the journey and see something of Australia other than cities and roads. The Rutherglen wine region is a short drive away across the Murray offering wineries, restaurants and much more. There are also good walks for all levels of fitness within easy reach.
