Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went with a few friends to sample the cultural delights of the region. When reception said we were about to "get stung" and then charged us $45/head/night, confusion reigned. That was until we realised that the "Queen" Deluxe Suite was not in reference to the size of the bed, but the size of the bee that awaited on level 4. Unfortunately, our friend from Sha Tin grasped the short straw, although it didn't seem like the only needle ever used at the place. On level 2, our Austrian friend Joey L. Fritz checked out early as he could almost watch TV in the room above given the state of the ceiling. Falling apart as if it had been painted with a hammer by Albury's answer to Michelangelo. On level 3, we avoided falling into the abyss, but faced our own challenges. The 3 single beds took up 60% of the floor space but were luckily on wheels for improved mobility. A great competition commenced on the Saturday night for what could keep us awake the best - the bass from the (likely cheap) club DJ that will ring in my ears long after I'm deceased, the locals yelling 2 syllable words at each other on the street, the AC system that wasn't switched on yet sounded like it was about to take off and fly across the Pacific, our neighbours adjacent who blared heavy metal at 5am, or the plague of insects that joined and revelled in the bleak conditions. The hard rubbish bathroom entry door led to a shower that would've been the tougher option in the 2nd world war. The only tradesmen that have ever set foot in this place were seemingly only there to steal the lightbulbs and some wiring. To sum up, not too bad, like Jumanji in that there's a different challenge around ever turn, and you end up thinking about the same fate as the main actor. 4/5

I went to beer deluxe for a concert. Started at the bar for a pint which cost me $19. Went into the band room to an overbearing stench of dirty feet. Overall extremely disappointed with the cost and quality of the venue

So I drove 6 hours and stopped over in Albury and found this place, you won’t believe how poorly set up it is.. On a Friday and Saturday they have a live DJ that plays until 3am. The beer garden and DJ is located right next to the rooms and it is f*clean loud! I thought there was a gig going on but no, literally the same establishment that provides accomodation also plays unbelievably loud music too and keeps the guests awake!

Really enjoyed our stay at Beer deluxe! It's in the centre of the city and walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The restaurant/bar is great with lots of variety of yummy food and drinks. The staff were lovely! A big thank you to Brian for making our stay comfortable and going over and above to feel welcome. The rooms are basic, clean and safe and perfect for what we needed. The club downstairs does get quite loud so be prepared (ear buds help to sleep) but if you get the chance to have a good boggie the music won't disappoint! Thanks for having us!

The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had an awesome view over the city. The rooms are basic and reflect the price, but comfortable enough. Perfect for an overnighter between Melbourne and Sydney.

It's in the city center surrounding by many restaurants open till late night. The building is a bit old but it's very clean and the beds are comfortable. Downstairs is a pub. It closes at 10pm. After you get the keys there's a door you can come in and out of the building anytime.

Was given a room by the lift. Asked to change rooms due to the noise so was given a room where the water pipes rattled like a jackhammer 24/7 in the walls. At least this drowned out the noise from the pub dwellers and police cars below. Room was as clean as you could expect for its age and disrepair. Went out to dinner and came back to a line of drunks waiting to get in the bar, all vomitting along the footpath right up to the door of the accomodation. Cold water didnt work so had to duck and weave under boiling hot shower. Only good points were that linen was clean, staff were friendly, and hotel was located in walking distance to everything.

Beer Deluxe Albury was great value for money with comfortable beds, a good location with access to local shops and cafe's, and super convenient to have a couple of great craft beers downstairs before settling in for a good nights sleep. We were warned in advance about the likelihood of noise from live music, however we were pleasantly surprised when we could barely hear it in the room. The room was clean and tidy, with all the amenities and comforts of a motel room. The best part of our stay was the service, particularly from Mitchell, who was really lovely to check in with. He gave us some great recommendations for breakfast in the morning and made the time during a busy evening to make sure we were comfortable with the room. We were really happy with our stay here.
