Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Greeted warmly by Cheyne. He, his wife & toddler have been owners for 6 months. Apparently he has 3 cats but we didn't see any. Oldish container style cabin but quite sufficient for our needs. There was a table & chairs outside, a bench/oven with stove on top, microwave, large fridge and large freezer which is great as we self-cater and small kitchen sink. Largish bathroom with plastic shower curtain, but no hair dryer or wine glasses or chopping board. There's a modern reverse cycle aircon & we actually used the heater as it was quite cold overnight. The Caravan Park has a lovely, cosy camp kitchen which has a sandwich toaster, 2 BBqs and a small book exchange. We were based here for 2 nights and travelled to Carnarvon Gorge for a full day. We left at 8 & arrived at the Park at 9.30. We opted to walk Mickey's Creek first which took us 3 hours - there's lots of clambering over rocks once you reach the end of the designated track but its worth it to get to the end which is blocked with large boulders, one suspended between the two sides of the gorge. Next we went to the Rock pools and had lunch at the lovely peaceful picnic area there. Feeling we'd like to sample part of the main gorge itself we went on to walk to the Moss Garden. By this time we were quite tired and it seemed to take forever to reach the Garden after the signpost turn off. There were lots of stairs, ups and downs before we reached the end which was lovely and cool. You don't get to walk next to the waterfall or pool as they've built a suspended walkway but the moss on the sides of the gorge with dripping water are just like the vertical gardens that are all the rage. All in all we were out 5 and a half ours at the Gorge. We would rather not have had to drive the 1 hr 20min drive back to Rolleston but when we planned the trip we didn't like/couldn't afford the accommodation actually at the Park. We had been advised that we should stay at Injune instead but that would have meant another 50kms more each way so we were glad we stayed in Rolleston. A beer at the hotel near the Caravan Park when we got back was a well deserved reward for these two mature people!

The office closes at 5.30pm according to a billboard in the center of the driveway. New arrivals are booked in from 11.30am. We arrived at 6.10pm so set up outside to wait for tomorrow. 7.10pm, water being sprayed on the side of the motor home by a person I caught red-handed and who later identified as the owner. This continued for nearly an hour. He set up a garden sprinkler to get rid of us. Nowhere else to go. I wanted to book in there. I hid in the shadows and sprung this person again preparing to chase us away by spraying water on us with a hose. Sprinkler sprayed water up into the fridge vents and wrecked our fridge which won't run on gas of 12 volts. I might make a claim on this nasty individual.

Wow, how good is this mob! Everything is renovated or new, a lovely extended family are fully engaged in making your time at their park and the locality a plus, not only do they inform us of what they had but advertised the other local businesses and sight sounds and what keeps Rolsten alive. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a powered site and the family we are travelling with had uncovered so we could have a fire pit, they are great people that really deserve our support. Thankyou

Got an unpowered site. We were able to choose which site suited us better. The owners are very laid back and easy going. The ammenities block was well stocked and clean. The showers were amazing. Good water pressure and temperature. The grounds were easy for me to get around using my wheelie walker.

Stay only one night on our trip to the gorge but it’s run by lovely people who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The amenities were spotless and the camp kitchen had everything you could want plus a big screen tv. Tiny town but very neat, perfect stop over.

Nice tidy room, good air-conditioning & water pressure. Great little sitting spot & is self contained. I personally do not agree with having to wash my own dishes, for the main reason that guests are not held to the appropriate cleaning standards, how am I to trust that the previous guest has cleaned effectively? I know this is becoming popular with accommodation but it is unhygienic. My TV satellite crashed pretty early on & unfortunately the curtains also didn't help much, I woke up at 5am because the sun was blaring through. Wasn't a huge fan of the gender specific accommodation. Other than those little issues good spot & affordable options.

We found the hosts of this park to be really friendly and helpful. The site was nice and flat and under a lovely tree. The camp kitchen had lots of cooking equipment including a sandwich press which you don’t often see. Bathrooms were nice and clean. This park is great value and not too far from canarvon gorge where we spent time at.

I called ahead yesterday to make a booking, I was a bit concerned because it is school holidays that they may have been booked out. The lady I spoke to said she would need to call me back because with the rain coming on it closed off half their park and they needed to make sure they had a spot for us. I received a call later in the afternoon to confirm there would be a spot and I confirmed we would like to take it. When we arrived the couple in the office were very friendly and the male directed my husband where to park while I finalised payment. We had a lot of vans come in after us, this would be a popular stop for people wanting to visit the gorge.
