I stayed in the Unit that is a 14 bed dorm room with its own kitchen and toilet. I like that concept and it is absolutely awesome for groups. The hostel has a self made style that is very cool. Everything is in a surf style. Friendly staff and a very good bike hire make it to one of the...

Awesome hostel, great outdoor common area, two big kitchens and plenty of space to relax. Very welcoming hosts and a great social atmosphere. Certainly the best hostel I stayed on my trip down the west coast! Also took a surfing lesson with the guys here which was good fun and great for a beginner! Highly recommended.

After living as a backpacker across Australia and New Zealand for the past 3 years, I've become accustomed to dodgy bunks in shared dorms, questionable cooking facilities and bathroom horrors. Bazil's was a great break from this. Such a cool hostel, with really chilled out vibes. amazing courtyard with hammocks, cosy farmhouse style kitchen with shared herbs and spices, comfortable...

Stayed here sadly only for one night, but absolutely loved it. Dorms are lovely and spacious - actually enough room for everyone's bags for a change. There's a proper farmhouse-style kitchen with genuinely nice crockery, an oven, loads of clean tea towels - basically all the little things that make a big difference. The lounge is awesome - enormous DVD...

After having stayed here for 5 nights I really think a lot of hostels can look at Bazils as an example on how things should be done. It's not just that it's clean, cosey and has friendly staff. It's also that rules like "no drinking after 9.30" are actually reinforced by staff and not just something that you hope people...

Great place, and great staff. A fun, sociable spot in the middle of Westport, close to everything you need in the town and a short hop down to the beach. Surf lessons are well worth giving a go as well!
