Spent two nights here, very comfortable room. Thought the road would be noisy but needn’t have worried. First morning had great pancakes cooked by Derek. I had savoury, which I would recommend but wife had sweet which she would recommend!!! Second morning we had an early start and Eleanor kindly packed us a breakfast which made the next day go a whole lot easier. Good location, and easy to park too.
We stayed at cosy Kiwi for two nights. Lovely rooms with great facilities, fluffy towels and nice little extras in the room. Tea and coffee with biscuits and sweeties. Breakfast was fantastic with rhubarb from the garden and home made savoury and sweet pancakes. Great tea and coffee at breakfast. Immaculately clean . Great place to stay
Cosy Kiwi is well located on Milford Rd within walking distance to the town centre. It is a modern building with very comfortable, clean and well appointed rooms. The breakfast has full range of items for a continental breakfast as well as scrambled eggs. The owner will also make savoury or sweet pancakes if you want them. She is very welcoming and can offer good advice about local attractions and traveling times between other towns. We had a great stay. Given the prices of much less salubrious accommodation in town this place is good value for money.
Hard beds, plain rooms and the breakfast left a lot to be desired. There is a common room up stairs again plain and not very welcoming. Reminded me of a small hotel from the 70's. Not very friendly either.
Very fresh room. Had an amazing night sleep in white sheets after long days hiking / kayaking in the Milford Sound area. The hosts are very good people. Close to town, breakfast was much better than expected.
