Of our 23 night tour of New Zealand this lodge is the best accommodation. The views across the immaculate gardens to Lake Te Anau are glorious. Our host Dawn was such a warm person who welcomed us with offering suggestions of places to visit and restaurants to try. Nothing was too much trouble. She organised and booked a boat trip...

First off.. the Fiordlands is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in all my travels! And... the Dock Bay Lodge is a wonderful "home away from home" from which to experience this amazing corner of the world. Dawn and the staff made our stay perfect from start to finish. There was nothing Dawn wouldn't do to ensure...

This lodge is absolutely stunning. After our drive from Wanaka to Te Anu we were blown away at how beautiful this location is. Our room was amazing with a lovely balcony overlooking the lake and an amazing place to look at the stars at night. We stayed in the Takitimu Suite in this lovely lodge. It was spacious and the rooms were lovely. It had a large bed with lovely linens but slightly soft (for our personal taste). Dawn placed little extra touches in the room - chocolates, wine for the first night, water and home made cakes on arrival. She organized Milford Sound tickets...

Fantastic accomodation, lovely spacious room with a balcony to enjoy the stunning view of the golf course and lake. Complimentary mini bar and snacks and Mark brought up a bottle of wine for our room. Lovely ladies cooking and serving a delicious breakfast. Tables at the local restaurants were kindly booked for us for the 2 nights we were there.

We recently stayed at the lodge for three nights while hiking and visiting Milford Sound. We stayed in the middle upstairs room with amazing views of the grounds, golf course, lake Te Anau and mountains. The room also has a balcony. Dawn was an excellent host. She arranged a local guide for a fly fishing trip. Unfortunately it was canceled...

These are some of the most accomodating hosts we experienced in New Zealand. The rooms are large, the bath luxurious and the breakfast experience as close to perfection as one could expect. The sense of style incorporated into this lodge is pleasing as well as comforting. You are home. Located a few KM outside Te Anau, you are free of...

First impressions driving up the long driveway and seeing the house, WOW! Stunning house and stunning views all around. Standard of furniture and fittings inside the house is exquisite.
