This is a beautiful home in the superb countryside of Te Anau. Our host Dawn made us feel very welcome and thanks to her kind assistance we found out about our change of boat for our Doubtful Sound trip and the correct place to go to catch our coach for our Milford Sound Trip. The breakfast here is top quality...

Every detail has been thought of in this superbly located property. Huge room to spread out in, complimentary wine, mini bar, coffee machine in room, with fabulous lake views across picture postcard gardens. We were welcomed by Sue and canine resident Colin. After our check in seated on a sofa overlooking the superb view Sue asked preferred dinner options and...

We stayed here for a couple of nights. It really is a magnificent location with the grounds and the golf course. Dawn was very helpful (if a little bit "in your face" for my wife's liking). The room we had was very well appointed including the free bar. The real highlight was breakfast which was cooked to order and was...

Stupendous views, marvelous rooms, wonderful breakfasts and extremely gracious hosts - a standout of our 3 week excursion in New Zealand. This bit of paradise is a 10 minutes by car out of Te Anau but hard to imagine an alternative.

Of our 23 night tour of New Zealand this lodge is the best accommodation. The views across the immaculate gardens to Lake Te Anau are glorious. Our host Dawn was such a warm person who welcomed us with offering suggestions of places to visit and restaurants to try. Nothing was too much trouble. She organised and booked a boat trip...

And... the Dock Bay Lodge is a wonderful "home away from home" from which to experience this amazing corner of the world. Dawn and the staff made our stay perfect from start to finish. There was nothing Dawn wouldn't do to ensure...

This lodge is absolutely stunning. After our drive from Wanaka to Te Anu we were blown away at how beautiful this location is. Our room was amazing with a lovely balcony overlooking the lake and an amazing place to look at the stars at night. We stayed in the Takitimu Suite in this lovely lodge. It was spacious and the rooms were lovely. It had a large bed with lovely linens but slightly soft (for our personal taste). Dawn placed little extra touches in the room - chocolates, wine for the first night, water and home made cakes on arrival. She organized Milford Sound tickets...

Fantastic accomodation, lovely spacious room with a balcony to enjoy the stunning view of the golf course and lake. Complimentary mini bar and snacks and Mark brought up a bottle of wine for our room. Lovely ladies cooking and serving a delicious breakfast. Tables at the local restaurants were kindly booked for us for the 2 nights we were there.
