This lodge is everything you expect of a luxury lodge but without any pretension – Andy and his team just let the quality service, food and natural wonders speak for themselves in very unassuming ways. There were many highlights for our stay here. 1. Compliments to Chef Rodrigo and his kitchen team as well as the young informative and eager-to-please...

If it weren't so far from California, I would spend a week here every year! The lodge is altogether delightful. The common areas (inside and outside) are comfortable and inviting, especially with fires in the fireplaces. The rooms are very, very comfortable and focused on the stunning view of the water and mountains. The food is great. The service is...

My husband and I stayed here recently for our honeymoon. The lodge is stunning with a beautiful view and extremely comfortable rooms. The food was delicious and the staff were so lovely and helpful. We loved spending time reading in the couch by the window in our room or out by the big fire in the lounge. I highly recommend...

My husband and I stayed here 4 nights and took day trips to Milford Sound, the glow worm caves and the surrounding trails. We booked a cabin because we like a little more privacy and were glad we did. The lodge is well appointed above the city with great views, although strangely, the view from the cabins is blocked by...

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments from your recent experience at Fiordland Lodge. We were delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your time at the Lodge, the cuisine and in general the Fiordland area. The log cabins do offer that little more privacy and we have trimmed back some foliage in and around the cabin...

Planning my next trip to NZ reminded me that I never did reviews for my last one. The food at Fiordland was terrific. I liked the dining and other public rooms a great deal, as well as the outdoor areas immediately surrounding. The suite was nice and comfortable, with a balcony and a wonderful view, but it wasn’t quite up...

What a wonderful stay! The first thing you notice is the smell of wood, which give a warm and cosy feeling. The lobby with the high windows is absolutely unique. What a view! The service of the staff is outstanding, you can truly feel they enjoy their work. The food was fantastic, definately try the salmon with breakfast. Thank you...

We spent two nights in the Lodge, right after Dunedin, and on our way to Queenstown. The Lodge is an amazing building, beautifully built, and very homely. We felt welcome the moment we walked in; the lounge was warm and inviting, and had amazing lounge chairs and sofas for couples and families to relax and socialise with other lodgers. The...

Our first stay at Fiordland Lodge was for 2 nights in November 2013 and we enjoyed it so much we are planning to go back in the summer. The lodge is spacious , warm and comfortable with magnificent views over Lake Te Anau and the mountain ranges in Fiordland National Park. Andy and his team were discreetly attentive. He organised...

One of the loveliest lodges in NZ! What i love about this place is that it is more 'real' than most other lodges, it feels like you are in a friends home! (A friend with great taste and a great budget ;)!) We are locals and pop down to hide away here once in awhile and its just delicious. A...

We loved our stay at the lodge. We stayed there two nights (early September) and everything about the lodge was great. The view from the lodge and our room was beautiful overlooking the Lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful - especially organising our trip to Doubtful Sound when Milford Sound was closed. The restaurant menu was excellent -...
