This is down as a hostel - which is crazy because it is a lovely family home with some extra rooms they rent out! Brilliant stay and a really welcoming couple - would definitely go back! We were also lucky enough to try some of Rosie's homemade bread, yummy!

We had a lovely stay here. Our hosts Alistair and Rosie were terrific and extremely helpful. Our bedroom was perfect and at last a place with the right number of bathrooms & loos to the number of guests. Comfy lounge', lovely garden, lovely people - what more could you ask!!

Rosie's homestay is a lovely place to stay in Te Anau. Everything is very clean and the shower was amazing. The kitchen had a lot of equipement because Rosie and her hisband share it with the backpackers. The welcome of the couple was very warm and they are very nice people.

I stayed a couple nights after being recommended by a fiend, and can't praise Rosie's enough. Really lovely place run by really lovely people. Beds are comfy and clean, the showers are great and the living room is perfect to rest and relax. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Te Anau.

I loved staying at Rosies. She opened her house for backpackers and you don't feel like that it is a hostel it's a home. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped since it's their private kitchen.

Ahhh ...just a special touch of paradise! Just had four nights at Rosie's. January weather in Fiordland wasn't quite the hot summer I was hoping for in Te Anau but that didn't matter too much. Had some day trips planned and after some excellent advice from Rosies husband Alistar re the weather - all went to plan. And really -...

We stayed for 2 nights at Rosie and Alastair's and absolutely loved it. The room and beds were comfy and the location, just on the edge of town, was nice and quiet. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need and more - and the fresh raspberries on the bushes outside sealed the deal without question! Rosie and Alastair both...

I am glad we chose Rosie's. As soon as we pulled up and saw the chicken coop I knew this was a good choice. My 9 year old spent all her spare time out with the chooks. Staying here felt like you were staying with friends. There was a real Christmas tree up and every time I walked into the lounge...

Rosie and her husband are so friendly and helpful during the stay. We stayed a week! They used to be rangers, so give the best tips! They opened up their home and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Couldn't rate this place higher - we really enjoyed our stay - thank you!
