High praise to Corinna for her friendliness, hospitality and excellent service during our entire 3-night stay. Upon arrival, she greeted us warmly and drove us through the very steep main streets of Oban to give us the lay of the land, with thorough descriptions of each shop/eatery, including hours of operation. Extremely helpful. The room was impeccably clean and well-stocked...

This is a great place to stay to get the feel of Stewart Island. Nestled in a grove of native trees the site is home to many native birds and in particular the kaka. These birds were out in force to welcome us and to entertain us right on our doorstep. The units are newly refurbished with very nice bathrooms...

Lynn & Karina are wonderfully welcoming, the rooms are warm and comfortable with everything you need, and the surroundings peaceful and filled with birdsong. The highlight is of course the Kakas, who make the stay special with their cheeky performances and variety of calls. Even better, it's only a few minutes walk to the waterfront and the heart of Oban....

This is a very relaxing stay - sitting out on the private patio watching the Kaka birds flit around the garden. Quiet & peaceful apart from the noisy birds! Very comfortable unit and walking distance from the harbourfront.

This hotel is very relaxing and you have a private patio in which to sit and watch the birds. The kaka bird will come right up to you. The staff will pick you up at the ferry dock or the airport and bring you right to the hotel. The location is very convenient to everything (within walking distance to restaurants...

We had such a fantastic holiday here… Lynn and Karina were wonderful and made sure that my birthday was a very special occasion. From the airport pickup to the tour around, great helpful tips and a really gorgeous location. Ten kaka on the deck! I had raw almonds which they loved very much. Great accommodation and lovely staff… (happy sigh)…...

2 nights here and would have loved to stay longer. The cabin was very well appointed, very clean, cosy and extremely comfortable. Beds and all linen wonderful. Warm welcome when we were collected from the flight depot with little tour of the town. It's an easy walk downhill to settlement, but steep uphill. The bird life here is delightful. Highly...

we had a 3-bedroom family suite. The rooms are very clean. Good supply of quality natural shampoo and soaps etc. Lynn, the Manager on site was very helpful. If you like birds, there are kakas coming everyday. It doesn't take long to walk up hill from the halfmoon bay.

We were due to spend three nights here but couldn't get across on the first day due to poor weather. However, it was worth the wait! We were met off the ferry and quickly shown the island before being taken back to our room. The room was lovely with a welcoming feel and a balcony with chairs outside. It was...

Likely our most memorable stay in New Zealand. The unit was comfortable, clean and well oufitted. The service excellent and we appreciated the little touches of being picked up and dropped off at the ferry. The location is very handy to other amenities and the setting is grand. Its a hoot watching kakas, particularly when you've come from Canada.
