This beautiful boutique hotel is exactly that. From the moment we walked in the door, we were warmly greeted and felt at home. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and with wonderful view. We stayed in The Gondola room, bed was comfortable, climate control great and the room had a smell kitchenette with all the necessities including coffee machine. I loved the bathroom with spacious walk in shower and glass ceiling allowing you to see the sky and snow falling if fortunate enough to be in Queenstown when it snows. Breakfast was included and cooked a la carte with a lovely assortment of fruits, pastries, yoghurts, tea and coffee machine. Julian and Diego were fabulous hosts and available to help with anything you may want to plan whilst here. A very short walk into town along almost flat road makes this the perfect location, far enough from noise in town centre. Rooms facing road have a bit of street noise from cars in morning and people talking loudly when walking past. Overall, a charming place to stay and we highly recommend staying here when visiting Queenstown.

My husband and I loved our stay. The room and hotel were beautifully presented. The room had a cool vibe and a comfortable bed. We picked the gondola-view room and it was quiet though facing the street. The toiletries provided had a mild cinnamon/cardamom scent. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially Lucrecia and Diego. We enjoyed the breakfast menu, wines, and evening canapés (including separate gluten-free ones upon asking. The stay felt like a home away from home, mostly because of the front desk staff. The location is slightly away from the hecticness, but an easy walk to coffee, dinner, and attractions, even in the pouring rain. I highly recommend staying here if visiting Queenstown.

This is an extremely well run hotel, right in the heart of Queenstown and easy walk to the town center as well as the Gondolas. The 2 female Managers were exceptional - they clearly know what they are doing and worked tirelessly to ensure guests were looked after and all was well. Breakfast was terrific - wide choice of options, very well prepared, and food is fresh and delicious. Wines in the lobby in the evening were a nice touch and enabled us to meet other travelers. The GM was on duty our last day, and he also provided exceptional service. All around a beautifully run and comfortable hotel.

A word of warning to Queenstown travelers hoping to go to Milford Sound - our Fly/Cruise/Fly trip to Milford Sound was cancelled due to poor weather - we should have booked a longer stay and planned to go to the sound earlier in our trip, that way we would have been able to rebook for another day in case of cancellation, which apparently can happen with frequency.

We stayed 3 nights at this boutique hotel. There is a lot to like about this hotel : its location to the harbor area, shopping and the gondola is a big plus; the quality of our room was very high; the daily breakfast was a nice touch; and the pricing was reasonable relative to the value received. We also had no issues finding a parking spot in the very small bottom garage.

My wife and I use the internet wifi a lot when we travel. We had significant issues with the strength, speed and stability of this hotel’s wifi. On average, the wifi disconnected from our Apple devices at least 20 times every hour. The signal was not very strong. This was very frustrating. Sometimes we had to repeatedly try to re-connect before the signal held. The wifi was frequently slow and sometimes web pages never fully loaded. Based on our many travels, this was the worst wifi connectivity experience we have ever had. This is the key reason why we cannot rate this hotel higher than a 4 star.

Response from Diego Moyano, General Manager at Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel
Responded 4 weeks ago
Kia ora Timothy, Thank you very much for sharing your experience and providing such valuable feedback. I'm delighted that the overall experience in our hotel was on the 5 stars benchmark. I'm sincerely sorry for the Wi-Fi issues you experienced during your stay. Unfortunately, one of the key Wi-Fi repeaters failed which impacted the connection in a few areas around the hotel for a couple of days. This has now been rectified; however, we have purchased new hardware to upgrade the entire WIFI system in the hotel to bring the best connection to our guests. We would love to have an opportunity to welcoming you back to our place. Best regards, Diego Moyano. Hotel Manager

What a true true gem! From the warm, family-style hospitality to the elegant yet cozy design, every detail is perfect. My room featured a nice open-ceiling shower detail that filled the space with natural light—such a thoughtful touch!

The location is central yet peaceful, and the staff are always welcoming and attentive, making my stay unforgettable. If you’re visiting Queenstown, don’t miss the chance to experience this incredible hotel. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while on our honeymoon in New Zealand and we had the best experience you could have imagined. The highlight was the friendly staff and the delicious made to order breakfast. Our room had beautiful Mountain Views and the location is just blocks away from downtown Queenstown which makes nearly everything you’d like to do in town in walking distance. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff, especially Lu. We were always greeted with a friendly smile and asked what our plans were for the day. They had great recommendations at the ready for restaurants or activities to do. Lu even made us a special to-go breakfast for our last day as we had to leave very early in the morning. This was the best hospitality I’ve experienced at a hotel and would 100% recommend it to anyone staying in Queenstown.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in February. before beginning a two week tour of the South Island. The hotel is in a great location: a short walk to where the action is but away from the crowds. (There is a little traffic noise from the road and sometimes you can hear people talking as they walk along the road, but this is a minor annoyance and not a criticism of the hotel at all. It's just the way it is.)
The staff are helpful, responsive, pleasant and do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. A special acknowledgment to Julian, Lucrecia and Georgiana who really made our stay that much better.
Included in the room rate was a made to order breakfast each day, which was always a treat.
Also, the afternoon "happy hour" of beer, wine, snacks, and music from vinyl records was something we looked forward to. You could chat with other guests if you liked, or not.
All in all a great stay and we highly recommend Queens Park Boutique Hotel.

Lovely hotel in a convenient location with exceptional service from start to finish.
From the welcome and service at check-in from Megan and Lucretia, to Cam and J, the staff were exceptional.
The service was warm and genuine. They were very helpful when needed and suggested things like providing a breakfast tray to the room the night before a very early excursion.
Breakfast was lovely and the only meal we had in the hotel.

The location, while not in the heart of downtown Queenstown, is a very short walk away, 5 mins max, and benefits from a slightly calmer setting while still being super convenient.

Overall would be my first choice for another stay in Queenstown.

I love well-run boutique hotels. If you do too, Queenstown Park Boutique will not disappoint. Diego, Lucrezia, housekeeping, and breakfast staff are top-notched, personable, and focused on their customers. They know Queenstown and have great recommendations.

The Hotel is warm and inviting. Our room was spotless, modern decor, small kitchenette, two queen beds (very comfortable), patio, blackout curtains, and kettle/coffee maker.

Finally the breakfast was delicious and made it order. Please don't skip it or a wonderful stay at Queenstown Park Boutique.

The Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel is a unique gem. It is tucked away from the bustle of downtown, but easily walkable to everything. Cool photographs and artwork adorn the hallways. We had the pleasure of staying in both the Gondola and Remarkables room. Splurge for the latter with its lovely view overlooking greenspace and relaxing freestanding tub. The chandeliers in both rooms were a nice touch. Every evening at 6, they offer complimentary canapes and wine while spinning vintage vinyl. It is a lovely opportunity to meet other guests and share travel stories. The hotel offers laundry facilities and even stored our luggage during our overnight cruise on Milford Sound. What sets this unique hotel apart is its welcoming and helpful staff. We can’t say enough about Cam! We had an early departure on the day of our check-out that would have caused us miss breakfast. Cam delivered pastries, breads, and jam to our room the night before so we wouldn’t leave hungry.
