My stay at the lodge was at the end of 2010, and I was on TA tonight and saw an article about Queenstown; so that prompted me to add my review from so long ago. At the time I was actually living in Cromwell, about 50 minutes from Queenstown; my partner and I and another two friends (a couple) went...

We stayed in the honeymoon suite and loved the panoramic views over Queenstown including a double spa. Although this was a B&B, you felt very much like you had your own space and could come and go as you please without being bothered. Les was extremely accommodating - cooked great brekkies and had a good old chat to us each...

Just returned from Queenstown with a stay at Balmoral lodge. Incredible views of Queenstown, the lake and mountains. Les and Cis made our stay great, helped with our excursions, and pointed us in the right direction for meals and entertainment. Highly recommend a stay at their B&B. Bill and Yvonne from California.

House was lovely, view was absolutely unsurpassed. The room was great and very clean. The extra large bathtub was indeed extra large and could be filled with piping hot water at will. Breakfast was very tasty. Nothing but good things to say, though it isn't the cheapest place to stay it was worth the money. It is really annoying that...

The view from here is "to die for", and I have lived in Queenstown before, so don't say that lightly. It is within a short walk from downtown although a little steep because it is elevated (as you would expect to get such views), for average fitness it poses no problem, and NONE at all if you are driving. The...

We stumbled on this place and what a great surprise! The rooms are comfortable, clean, and have amazing views of the lake! Les is wonderful and makes a great breakfast! I would stay there again in a heartbeat! My only negative point is the stairs, if you're not great with stairs maybe you should stay somewhere else but if you...

We stayed for two days and found the accommodation and owners so nice that we returned for a final night before returning to Auckland and then home to Cairns. We had a beaurifully comfortable bed with ensuite and a separate sitting area where we could gaze at the 180 degree panoramic views. Thank you Les and Liz for a wonderful...

I highly recommend Balmoral, We believe it was the coziest B&B in our holiday in NZ. No one beats Leslies BFAST! And the view from the rooms is fantastic! Nothing like flying in to Queenstown, The view at Balmoral almost beats that!

We stayed here for six days. We were very pleased with place. The place is small. But it gives you so much comfort. The owners, Less and Liz are the best owners you can find. They will do anything for you to feel comfortable here. We stayed in the room with a king bed and a twin bed. The beds...

3 of us stayed at the Balmoral Lodge in Queenstown in late December 2012. The lodge is easy to find, just off the main road into Queenstown as you are entering town. The first thing that strikes you is the amazing view out over Lake Wakatipu and the view up to the Remarkables. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment...

“Though close to town this apartment is not somewhere I'd walk to/from unless you liked steep hill climbing. With a mix-aged group - there were five in our group - it was nice to have the youngest child sleeping close by in the living room while the adult kids had their own separate space. The bed in the living room was sooooo comfy but it did limit the living space for the family. Separate ensuite for the master suite was brilliant.”
