Located between Queenstown and Arrowtown, Shotover Lodge is a decent enough play to sleep whilst in the Queenstown region. You definitely require your own transport to get there and the road is quite dark and tricky at night if you've been out for dinner before heading back. The staff had a very "no frills" approach, but we realised that $100... More

the queen size bed was joint by two single beds, that was very uncomfortable. there is no any single signal when you in the room,No service at all time. No rubbish bin in the toilet was very inconvenient. Don't like this motel.

The rooms were strange. They were large yet cramped due to the layout of a small couch and television. The room was devoid of things found in most hotels, like a blow dryer, kleenex box, do not disturb sign. There was a short kitchen counter in the room but there was a common kitchen upstairs near the lounge. There was... More

We booked for 3 nights. The room was spacious but dirty. The bathroom smell of mould no matter how much I vent the place. The sofa bed was very dirty. The pillows were crummy and not fit for a motel standard. It appears to be a student hostel. The bed was not comfortable. Beddings apoeared very old and aged. Seems... More

Clean crisp pleasant stay. Helpful staff. Easy to find, central enough to experience mountain life but still access the town in no time at all. Entertainment areas were fun and rooms were warm and pleasant.

We stayed at Shotover Lodge prior to attending a franchise conference and found it very clean, tidy and inviting. There was an issue with an upstairs guest which caused water to flow from our bathroom light. This was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the staff. We really enjoyed the stay, and will more than likely stay there when/if we... More

Good and quiet location. The mini kitchenette in the king room is helpful. However, bed was too soft, no toilet paper or rubish bin in the bathroom; cleaning was not great either. Staff friendly though.

We made a last minute decision to stay a few more days in Queenstown and choose this place due to the reasonable price and availability. Room appeared neat and tidy and on par with the reviews. First night we had only cold water in the shower and could not have a proper shower. Next day I advised reception who said... More

Originally booked here as we wanted to go to Onsen pools. But we forgot to pre-book Onsen of which they ended up being booked out. We stayed the night regardless. Effortless book in and out. Basic but tidy and clean room. Just don't expect mobile/cell coverage, didn't have any the entire time. Which was quite nice actually.
