Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

4 night stay, clean on arrival never got serviced in between, towels were left on table, tea, coffee & sugar only never replaced, vaccum never existed I really should of checked out however it was paid for 4.
When your paying 200 a night expecting sheets and towels to be replaced.
Friendly however need common sense for what people pay for. Full kitchen a bonus however bloody wifi kept cutting out we had to use our data a lot.
If you can get for 160 for 4 adults pretty good.
Laundry area needs mopping and wiping changing of guests, they need to offer single shampoo/cond/body wash, hair dryer
Overall 4.5/10 rating

We chose this place because it was in walking distance to the airport, bus stop and shops. And it didn’t disappoint. The two story, 1-bedroom apartment was spacious, had all the gadgets you’d need, and while showing some wear, it was impeccably clean.

Given the cost of accommodation in Queenstown and surrounds, we were quite happy with our choice to stay the night here.

I don’t want to write a negative review, but I will leave a honest review.

Positives - In Frankton, so close to airport and large shopping complex. Price was budget friendly when travelling with a family. Only 10 minutes drive to central Queenstown. Washing machine and dryer facilities.
Negatives - Very busy road, hard to get out of complex at times. Rooms are very much in need of TLC. Our room had stains on the carpet, mould in the skylight of the bathroom, varnish peeling on the dining table, half packet of condoms in a draw and a pair of ladies undies under one of the beds!

First, they didn't honor at least the voucher that we have. It should've been fine if they have updated the website that they are not affiliated with Asure anymore.

Second, for a $450/night, the internet access is limited. Staying here as a family especially with kids, is absolutely not recommended!

Third, ousekeeper will not clean dirty dishes, they will only replace the rubbish bin liners. So when you come back for your 2nd night, you are to do it. With housekeeping experience, the hotel I've worked for, we always make sure everything is cleaned when the guest/s get back to their room/apartment.

Fourth, when you call the mobile number posted on their reception door if you're needing something, no one will answer and no one will get back to you.

Faulty toilet flush button, wardrobe looked like been used as storage for old/faulty appliances, mirror with a broken frame, messy cutleries drawers.

So, lesson learned, it's not worth to spend $ here, unfortunately.

A warning to anyone booking this motel. We booked this the other day for 2 weeks time and our circumstances have changed. When we booked we chose the option to play cash and then the next page asked for a credit card. We presumed this was to secure the booking. The next day we noticed we had been charged in full. When we email to say our circumstances had changed we received a reply to say that they wouldn’t refund us. When I rung to ask why, I talked to a very rude man who couldn’t help me and hung up on me. My husband rung back and asked questions about the booking. They could not give any explanation as to why they ask if you are going to pay cash if they just charge straight away. The next person hung up on him. He rung back just to be hung up on. There is apparently a no refund policy in the small print and we have had to accept we won’t get out money back but the customer service is disgusting. Every room is non refundable through the motel but if we had used Booking.com we would have got a refund. There is $2 difference in price.I wish I had read the reviews before looking at this property. It used to be good so a real shame it has gone so downhill

Position is OK and the Frankton Arm Tavern (Nice pub) is only a short walk away. The room looks good at first glance and is nice and clean. Now the issues start here.
I went to put my bag down and realised that most of the room is taken up by the bed. OK that can be worked around.
I then went to turn the TV (which is fixed to the wall) on. No remote in sight then I noticed a sticker on the lower edge of the TV. It would seem that TV is not available for "This room type" !!!!!! So why stick one on the wall.
Never mind - we went for a stroll to the aforementioned pub. Had a snack and a couple of beers while enjoying a stunning view.
Went to bed. Now it was a few seconds before it became apparent that there was a noisy corner in the room. Put the light on and realised there was a door that I hadn't noticed. On the door was a notice warning people not to try to open the door because it was locked. Now I've had a fair bit of experience with Motels and I'm wary of strange doors. It said locked but it looked like a sliding door and there was no sign of a lock. The lock is either on the other side or someone has put a screw through it to stop it opening. Either way if you are of a nervous disposition this could be a concern.
Fortunately we didn't have any unexpected visitors and the noise from the other side of the door ceased shortly afterwards.
Had a nice sleep and went to load the car the following morning. A car pulled into the space next to ours and a man looking a bit frazzled went across to some suitcases that his wife was guarding. One was enormous and he struggled to get it in his car. So I helped him. No problems. So why so agitated.
It would seem that he had been unable to find a parking space the previous night and ended up parked on a side street some distance away. I did a quick count and it looked like parking spaces could well be at a premium here.

Decided to stay at this place due to its location.

Just before arrival I received an email advising what room we were staying in and that it was unlocked with the key inside.

The room was well equipped however the dishwasher and range hood were disgusting they looked as though they had never been cleaned.

There was also a number of unfriendly notices posted around the place warning that if you broke their silly rules there would be financial penalties.

I recently stayed at the Queenstown Gateway Motel for a weekend gateway The motel's location is pretty handy around the city center.
The room, though modestly sized, was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, addressing my concerns promptly.
I would consider staying here again for my next visit and I highly received this place to my friends and family.

It was supposedly a happy weekend in Queenstown, but it turned out to be the worst experience on vacation. The room was unpleasant, extremely dirty, mouldy, and very stinky. What's unacceptable is that the apartment manager was very rude, not helpful, and gave us a very hard time with our stuff left in the apartment. This place is poorly managed and seriously needs to assess options for improving general cleanliness and management change.

My stay was non existent, Firstly I booked my stay via Booking.com and received a confirmation email - so far so good. I arrived on the day of the booking and was running late and to my horror there was no envelope on any door relating to my booking, i phoned the duty manager who informed me that they were fully booked and there was definitely no booking under my name, this also happened to coincide with the Queenstown Marathon week when all accommodation is fully booked out. I was fortunate enough to find a cabin at the local holiday park for that one night. I was subsequently charged for the one night stay at the Frankton apartments although I never stayed there, i advised the manager of this situation to which he replied that i was a liar and that i did stay there as the room had been used. He also categorically stated that i would not get a refund. The whole episode and unprofessional behaviour has left me totally bewildered that any business operator could be so rude and have no understanding of the consequences of his actions. There has been no apology and no refund to date.
Furthermore establishing meaningful dialogue with the manager to resolve this issue has been beyond frustrating and Booking.com are too difficult to make contact with as well.
Geoff.
