This was my first hostel experience, and it was okay. This certainly is not the way I would want to travel regularly. I think I am just too old for this scene. This place was filled with loud college-aged students, which is not ideal. My room itself was comfortable - definitely not plush accommodations, but reasonable for this type of...

Stayed there for a month and absolutely loved it! Perfect accommodation for social backpackers! There's lots of space to do activities around the grounds and great walking distance to everything in the city.

great affordable stay for me and some friends. The staff are super helpful and knowledgable about the area, the management are quick to sort any issues and the location is handy to everything. I enjoyed the feeling of fun and community that they have there. It's a special place. Definitely will rebook, especially if I get a good group of...

Stayed in Unit N in January 2015. The air in the shared kitchen smelled foul, the furniture was old (particularly the beds, which are the antithesis of comfort) and we generally couldn't wait to get out of there. Definitely put a damper on our view of Queenstown. Avoid if possible.

Great place, a short walk to town and friendly helpful staff. I've stayed here before and it is the best place I've found in Queenstown if you come to MTB. Great bike hire facilities and its a short traverse to ride across to the gondola. Staff will happy organise anything for you. A great village atmosphere.

Very happy with our stay at Pinewood. The unit had all amenities we needed including a parking space. The house keeping is done everyday so everything is very clean. Wifi didn't work in our building but we could use it in communal areas. The staff were helpful with booking activities in queenstown. Large supermarket nearby.

My friend and I stayed at pinewood for two nights early December and it totally topped of our dreamy South Island adventure. The staff here are ridiculously helpful (i'll get to that later), the travellers are young and fun and overall the place has such positive energy, you honestly don't want to leave. Totally worth the cheap as cost (we...

I stayed here Easter weekend. I planned to stay 2 nights but checked out after 1 night as I got no sleep due to all the noise from other guests. It was very uncomfortable being the only female in a self-contained flat with about 10 other males, who got very drunk & were making an absolute racket all night long....

Stayed here with my girlfriend for a few nights and thought a standard double in a lodge would be okay but it was tiny plugs underneath the Bed and cold as they decide when to put the heating on- twice a day when it's 10 degrees and raining isn't enough ! Other than that you can't get wifi if your...

We had a small room with a double and a single bed - both were good beds. A wardrobe and a heater that worked fine - thank goodness! The shared kitchen facilities were cleaned daily and had reasonable supply of dishes etc. Staff were lovely and very helpful. This was a great place to stay for closeness to the buses...
