Most disgusting accommodation in NZ. dirty, filthy, noisy rooms which have caused skin rashes to us.Hotel staff was uncultured and doesn't know how to talk to customers. Marcus was the worst of them yelling and shouting at us for their own mistake. Their manager has crossed the barrier for been cheap by sending emails about police and all. All and...

I stayed there for 3nights. I was able to get good value for those nights. The double room i stayed in was very spacious, was comfortable warm and cozy. It had shared bathroom facilities, always replenished with clean towels. Very basic and clean at all times. Pinewood is just 10 mins walk away from town. Amazing view. I fell in...

Without doubt the worst accommodation in NZ I have ever stayed. Noisy, smelly and uncomfortable. Still itching almost a week after being there. Staff seemed very disinterested on arrival and it didn't really improve. Very noisy with no shortage of disturbances throughout the night. And was not cheap either, almost $150 a night.

The twin room we stayed in was spacious and nice, there was plenty of space for luggage. Plenty of shared bathrooms. Didn't use the kitchen but it was big. It's a little far from downtown to walk (because it was raining). Friendly staff. Wifi was available in our room.

We stayed here for 2 x nights over Xmas. It was basic dormitory accomodation with shared bathroom facilities ( unisex) and kitchen. For the price $150 p/night we would have expected more value for money. Example - top bunk difficult to reach, 1 x Power point only. Could do with some $$ spent on much needed uplift generally. For backpackers...

This was my third visit to the lodge (annually), highly recommended. Walking distance to the town, about 10 minutes. Supermarket within walking distance too, about 3 minutes, just walk out the main road leading to the lodge. Provide free parking but limited spaces. Value for money. Room clean but look old but good for a short stay. Toilet clean. Kitchen...

We stayed a few days in a room for 2 (with 2 bunks bed) in a little appartement shared with 2 other rooms of 2 people. The housekeeping only pay attention to the bedrooms. But the shared areas were so dirty. We found a cup upside down in the cupboard with some milk in it which was a few days...

Short stay of a couple of days in a 'community' room with shared bathrooms and shared living area. Well equipped kitchen. Accomodation clean and tidy. Good value for Very convenient location only few minutes walk into town. Starting to become a bit 'tired' and aged but good value for money and will stay again
