The outside and the foyer look modern and stylish but the corridors and rooms are a massive disappointment. Our bathroom had cheap lino, there was mould and yellow stains on the tiling; when washing you did not exactly feel clean. There were stains on the carpets, all the furniture had scuffing around the edges and the room decor looked drab....

We have stayed in Rydges hotels before and are members of their loyalty programme but this hotel was truly disappointing. The room was very shabby but had a good view of the lake but everything was old and in desperate need of refurbishment. The carpets were worn and tatty and the bath had yellow stains in it, the whole room...

Less than a 10 minute walk from the center of town and on the lakefront, this is an acceptable hotel. The room was rather ordinary. It was well below other Rydges hotels in ANZ. The breakfast proved quite satisfactory,

Whilst we were aware there was refurbishment in progress, we found that the promo photos of the already refurbed public areas to be somewhat misleading as the guest rooms are rather dated and in need of renovation with particularly poor lighting. We were supposedly upgraded but not sure what the upgrade provided. We did get a room at the front...

We stayed here the night before and the night after hiking the Milford Track. The location is wonderful -- the hotel overlooks the lake -- and it's a short walk to the shops and restaurants downtown. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed a large breakfast buffet there after our first night, and it was great. The hotel kept...

After a long day on the bus we arrived at this hotel. From the outside it looks fairly modern. However there is no air conditioning in the rooms and our window only opened about 4 inches. The room was stiflingly hot. Further investigation indicated that the mirror in the bathroom was hot to the touch. We contacted the manager and...

A well equipped and comfortable room. Restaurant food was good but very noisy music. A lovely location with views of the lake. A few things not in operation such as the pool. Attentive enthusiastic young staff but perhaps a lack of over viewing management.

Lovely staff and refurbished public areas; rooms old and tired and not to the same standard; assume this is in progress. Very interesting dining experience.. up market Buffet but you are not allowed to call it that….. with great views of lake etc and again great staff. Was a very brief stay and its one of QT's bigger hotels and...

The rooms are outdated and the air conditioning is a problem (non-existent). In summer, the open window may just not cut it. But once it got later on, there was little noise, so not such an issue. The bedding is very comfortable. The location just out of town is super, completely walkable, and the view from every room is stunning...
