I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay at Nugget Point. It was warm and comfortable, the service was outstanding, the views from the room awe-inspiring. The public and private spa baths luxurious and the white robes most welcome. The hotel bar was among the best. The only sub-par thing was one of the breakfasts which was abysmal, though the other...

Fantastic value for money, beautiful views over the river and our room was very spacious and I liked the plush decor and marble looking bathroom with giant spa bath. The whole place is decorated beautifully although could use a facelift. We were a little disappointed that the pool advertised as heated wasn't actually heated although the setting is stunning and...

We were relieved to arrive at this hotel after a very long drive accross the mountains. The hotel was warm and welcoming with a very friendly receptionist named Claire. Our room was very comfortable but the decor was a little tired which we felt let down the hotel's immage. There was a very unpleasant smell in our bathroom each time...

We weren't on a huge budget for our trip to NZ but we didn't splurge. Nugget Point was a great hotel for the in-between. Views from the dining room were stunning and views from the balcony room were just as magnificent looking now into the valley and across to the mountain. The spa was a bit dirty when we were...

We read mixed reviews about this place, but decided to give it a try as it was affordable - I doubt it will stay that way for long! Apparently it has new management who are updating the hotel, which makes a lot of sense as it has fantastic potential and views. Right now it kind of feels like the hotel...
