We stayed here in January for a little over two weeks in a lake view apartment and were very impressed by the apartment which looked exactly the same as the pictures on the website which is not always the case. There is everything you could need from cooking facilities and utensils down to electric blanket.

The apartment was clean although a little dusty. The lake view apartments have beautiful views and are well worth the extra money. They are close to the road and a little noisy at times but this is not a problem and we regularly sat on the balcony or with the sliding doors open in the evening. The bedroom is at the back of the apartment and is very quiet in terms of road noise. Unfortunately though sound proofing is not great, particularly in this area which is one of the reasons I didn’t give these apartments full marks. Whilst not the fault of the hosts, we were regularly woken by the sound of early alarms (6am), late night showers (midnight/1 am). On one occasion the guests in the one bedroom studio with whom we shared washing machine and tumble drier did several loads of washing and drying again about midnight (popular time) until I had to ask them to stop. This is despite a sign asking guests not to use them after 10pm (perhaps the sign needs to be in other languages). We even had someone ring our doorbell repeatedly at 2am on one occasion. Perhaps we were just unlucky during our stay.

The other reason I have marked the apartment down is despite the fact we were there for just over two weeks we had no change of towels or sheets. Whilst I was aware we would not have a daily cleaning service which was fine I didn’t realise that a change of linen was an extra cost. Given that the apartment was so well appointed I would have been happy with spare linens which we could change ourselves.

I note a previous review mentioned a problem with checking in, were sent clear check in instructions so no issues.

We have been to Queenstown several times visiting family and usually stay in an apartment close by and despite the negative comments above I would try these apartments again.

Spent 4 nights here when we were in Queenstown and it was just amazing! We booked the 1BR lakeview room and it was spacious, clean, amenities were complete, location was just right (not in the city centre but not too far from the city), but the highlight of our stay was the majestic, unobstructed view of the mountains, that can be seen through foor to ceiling sliding doors.

Also love the fact that a parking space was allocated for us with no additional fee, unlike in most hotels in Queenstown where parking is typically first come first served and have to be paid for separately.

Just one very minor opportunity area is there was one night when we returned to our room late in the afternoon and it still wasn’t cleaned. We just asked the staff to please empty the trash out and refresh our toiletries. They were apologetic about this though and we were told they had a lot of guests and were quite busy so that’s fine 👍

Overall, highly recommended and will definitely stay here again once back in Queenstown ❤️

I stayed at Swiss-Belsuites (or QS Jade at the time of booking) over the New Year Holiday. We were in suite 217A. I couldnt help but take a photo of the view every morning. It was just perfect, peaceful, and unreal. The space was well designed. The bedroom which was on a higher platform level (like a mezzanine) had shutters that you can close for privacy or open up to the water view. The apartment was well equipped with everything you need from kitchen ware to basic toiletries. The location was prime if you're looking to stay close to town but not in the heart of town. It is about a nice 15 mins walk on a slope to town but that didn't bother us. The walk was very pleasant. Your parking spot is designated right under the complex and there are few entry point to access the lot. Our unit was shared with a one bedroom which faced the backside. We shared the same "front door" and washer/dryer units but it didn't bother us as we then had a internal door to access our own space. Overall a very pleasant stay.

A family on school holiday in the snow & first experience in these type of apartments which essentially are 2 separate apartments accessed through 1 front door. 1 is a Studio & the other is a 1 Bedroom Apartment. As a family with 2 kids, we booked 2 Studio Units thinking that they would be side by side - BIG mistake. Instead they were upstairs and downstairs on separate levels and front doors were only accessible outside in 3° freezing cold. We also weren't prepared for the occupiers of the other unit to come through the front door with our Unit door wide opened. Studios were very tight with just enough room for a King size bed, Study/Dining table jammed against the wall and the tiniest Kitchen ever invented. Only time ever we thought that a bed was too big & after an hour with everyone cramped up in 1 Studio trying to organize some lunch we decided to ask about upgrading to a single level which fortunately was available the next day but for an extra $100/night! What a difference though, the single level turned into a proper 2 Bedroom unit with large lounge, decent dining table and full size Kitchen with oven, hobs & dishwasher! Plus a magnificent view over Lake Whakatipu & the snow capped mountains! Decent 50" TV, fireplace & computer PC as well. Note that you did need to some IT experience to get past the popups & subscription updates. WIFI was good speed. Parking is all under cover & QT central is only 15-20 minutes walk. Nice selection of artisan teas & coffees. Bathrooms are nicely finished with heated floor and tiled bath/shower that you do have to climb into but a handy support rail is strategically placed. Lots of towel rails which is always lacking in hotels. There is a full laundry with washing machine, dryer & tub.
The downside was the service staff who failed to stock the Kitchen for our included breakfast plus no shower gel in bathrooms. Fortunately the reception staff were onto it and corrected all omissions but note that you only get bread, milk, some fruit, juice & yogurt. It stocked everyday but haphazardly eg. 1 unit had entirely mango juice while the other had a variety of spirulina, berries, etc. Bathroom cleanliness left a lot to be desired as well.
Conclusion is that its not a hotel but actually a high quality motel and for a family, fully recommend getting the whole apartment.

On the face of it a nice hotel but not without some serious problems. The Alpine Studio room was just about adequate in size, the beds comfortable, room facilities good and the continental breakfast delivered to the room decent but...... the carpets were stained and the walls are paper thin and our sleep was seriously disturbed by the apartment above us where we could even hear lights being switched on and bathroom extractor fans. Lying awake listening to the people above at 0030 hours is no fun and this was our worst night of sleep since arriving in NZ several weeks ago. The room itself at the back of the property was dim with a poor outlook onto a communal footpath serving the hotel so we had to keep the blinds shut the whole time (we knew we wouldn’t see the lake beforehand, not in itself a problem). There are steps, lots of them too and the hotel is located on a steep hillside so if you don’t like hauling heavy luggage around or have mobility issues this is not the place for you.

Oh, and they say you can save money booking direct and in advance. Not true. There were much better deals available on the internet during the preceding week after we had booked.

There are many other hotels in Queenstown one of which we will use on our next visit, we certainly won’t be staying here again.

We were in a 1 bedroom lakeview super suite. It was excellent, really spacious, great kitchen area, good size bedroom, perfect size balcony - overall this place was fantastic. I did happen to see inside one of the studio units and would avoid at all costs as they were tiny (something to watch for).

The receptionist who greeted me (Maria) was very friendly, efficient and helpful.

Was frustrated that our room wasn't cleaned on one day and then the next day we arrived back at 4.00pm and again hadn't been cleaned. I left the room to get clean towels and the cleaner was just getting to our unit, I was unwilling to let him in at that point so just grabbed essential supplies. I think they maybe didn't have enough cleaning staff on.

We secured a good deal so felt that we got really good value for money. Might not have been so happy if we had paid normal rack rate.

Must also mention that the unit was within walking distance of the township so location was excellent. Road noise was nothing to worry about!

Loved the dressing gowns and slippers and having the computer available was the extra finishing touch that we really appreciated.

We booked a One Bedroom Lake View apartment. The view was magnificent particularly of the lake and the Remarkables. The changes with the light during the day were fantastic.
The apartment was well equipped with everything you need for a holiday including undercover dedicated parking. However, you do have to share the laundry and ironing facilities with your next door neighbour. Not sure how it works if there is a clash. Fortunately that didn't happen to us.
The other downside is that if you're older, there is no lift so the large number of stairs (30) from the garage to the apartment may be a problem for some people particularly with suitcases in hand.
Also, it may be difficult for some people to walk into town. If so you will need a car or the bus/taxi etc. Free parking in Queenstown can be difficult to find.
But the biggest annoyance with this apartment was that our room was not ready until 3:45PM when check in was 3PM. This is really unacceptable. The resort did not appear full so not sure why it was late. We had arrived around 2:30 ( early) and were advised the room would be ready at 3PM, so very disappointing.

Very disappointing considering what they say on their website and definitely NOT 5 star. The room was very small with one window which looked out on a bank with a pathway above the room. The blind had to be left down so people using the path did not look directly into your room. They offered a large discount to gold card member but really it was simply a very dark budget room. Will NOT stay here again

We stayed in a mountain view apartment which had the benefit of a terrace. Large living room with huge bifold doors opening up onto the terrace. Extremely clean apartment with 2 large bathrooms. Breakfast was delivered every morning as they don't have their own kitchen which was a nice touch. Located a 10 minute from the shops and restaurants. The front apartments face the road which is very busy. The unit we stayed in was the block behind and you could not hear the traffic.

This property is absolutely misleading advertising it as five stars. Room is sufficient but very basic. Phoned reception to make-up the room but never happened after multiple requests. Breakfast includes slices of bread & packets of spreads and two small tubs of yoghurt left inside the fridge, supposed to "cover" the entire duration of the stay. Certainly not five stars as claimed and advertised. We will never stay here again, or recommend to anyone staying here. Avoid at all cost!
