Stayed here on a powered site for one night. Great kitchen and chill out area. Can get busy so might be waiting for a chair or a couch. Reception staff were pleasant would recommend while in Milford Sound

Milford Sound Lodge is a gorgeous place to stay. We had a lovely room on the river with stunning views out of the floor to ceiling windows. This was a gorgeous spot to enjoy a predinner drink. The room was warm with under floor heating and it was very comfortable. Included in our package was a cruise on Milford Sound...

This was the only place to stay to be on our early morning cruise through the Milford Sound. We laughed at the rooms because we don't like camping but we felt like it in their dorm rooms. The dorm rooms were the only ones left when our reservations were booked 4 months in advance. Our son's family stayed next door...

This lodge caters for all levels of accomodation fro campers, shared bunk rooms up to these beautiful one room chalets facing the river. An expensive treat at NZ $425 a night but worth it. The rooms have floor to ceiling picture windows of the river opposite and mountain behind it. Underfloor heating and heavy curtains helps make the room warm...

after a fantastic day of a cruise and heicoptor trip onto a glacier, the chalet on the riverside , with a great view of the river and mountains at your feet was fantastic, the meals unfortunately did not match the accom, but still adequate, cheers

Pretty much the only accomodation in Milford Sound, so it's this place or nothing. The Dorm pictures on the website are a little misleading - they have loads (dozens) of rooms, most of which are not quite what the pictures suggest, or at least the ones I saw weren't. The dorm I stayed in was rather small and very dated....

Stayed here while we were in Milford sound. Got one of the chalets. Amazing room with breathtaking views. Breakfast was good enough as was dinner. Don't expect fine dining. The service was variable. There was four staff waiting of which one "Jo" did 90 percent of the work. While the boys stood around chatting. Would recommend staying here.

We spent the evening at Milford Sound Lodge the night before our Milford Sound Southern Discovery tour. The powered site met our expectations and the facilities were clean and new. As they are the only restaurant in town and we were tired after a long day driving, we ate at the restaurant - the service and food were equally lovely,...

There are limited options for staying anywhere Milford Sound so we resorted to paying the high price tag of this lodge. Slightly disappointed with the location of the chalet (picture looked like it sat alone on the waters edge but it was more a semi detached unit set back from the water). Still very nice though, clean and tidy with...

We stayed in a chalet at the Lodge and it was well worth it. The rooms are spacious, contain tv and DVD player, a porch, heated floors, and the usual hotel amenities. Each chalet has spectacular views of the cliff faces and waterfalls. There is a limited wifi service as well; please don't complain - you are in the wilderness...
