I needed to book one night in Dunedin for a business trip & was fortunate to choose Grandview B&B. Arriving late from Christchurch Simon was nice enough to wait up for me to show me around and make me feel at home.. also with leaving early the next morning he was able to prepare the continental breakfast earlier so I...

First and foremost this is a well run and very warm establishment ran by Simon, his wife Sara, as well as his mother Trish. They also have a delightful girl right now at the toddler stage. The view at the Grandview honeymoon suite, where we stayed, was nothing short of spectacular. It also included a fine bed, spa, and updated...

We booked Grandview months ago from Canada, but when we arrived I evidently did NOT note on the booking that we had a shared bathroom....an impossibilty from my wife's point-of-view. Simon, a truly caring fellow allowed that we were not bound by our reservation and offered to find another possibility in Dunedin that would"make you probable one-time stay in Dunedin...

The Grandview Bed and Breakfast in Dunedin will not disapoint you, but it will not blow you away. Unless you have a car, the location is not optimal. The street is a very steep upward slope, you are going to struggle if you have to walk up there with luggages. The view is great, there is a fully equiped kitchen,...

We booked a room with shared bath at ground floor. We were welcome by Simon the host and he was more than helpful to provide us tourist information and places to dine in. We enjoyed the house decor and settings of breakfast, breakfast was well prepared and good choices with good coffee as well. However, our queen bed could be...

We stayed 5 nights here and enjoyed great hospitality from Simon and Trish. We certainly were made to feel at home. The location is great, the rooms lovely and the views grand. Having a kitchen to prepare our dinner is helpful when travelling. Simon is very helpful re sightseeing and giving directions around the Dunedin region and Trish was able...

Grandview lives up to its name with a great view out over Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula. The owners were unbelievably accommodating, with Simon going above and beyond with his hospitality and recommendations of sights to see both locally and around the south island. Free wifi, breakfast and cooking facilities are also much appreciated. It is only a very short...

We enjoyed 2 nights at the Grandview, a lovely old building a few minutes walk to the centre of town. The common areas as well as the bedrooms are really nicely furnished as befitting the grand style of the building. As others have mentioned, it is on a hill and takes a little effort to climb (especially after a few...

We had the pleasure of staying at this B&B for 1 night. We enjoyed our stay and the short walk into town which gives you great access to shops and restaurants. Don't be put off by the hill it looks steeper than it is 10 mins down and 15 mins back up, but the view makes it all worth while....
