I called and booked a room after 6pm on a Saturday night. The lady at the desk had fantastic customer service and I got a free room upgrade as they weren't too busy. Very friendly atmosphere and so welcoming. The place was also clean and warm. I would recommend for anyone.

I would give it five star if it were not the two receptionists who are so sophisticated. They are unhonest, always want to sell the most expensive room to you, and they press you a lot. I don't like this style. Never met this before in New Zealand. Other things are perfect here.

It feels like there's a lot of people staying long term there. Quite difficult to mingle with people there. Free breakfast is a plus. Rooms are not entirely clean, but not dirty either. Wobbly beds which is noisy. Lovely lounge to hang out if there's space for you.

It's was such a good hostel. It was in the middle of Dunedin and close to absolute everything. The staff was so nice and friendly and helped you out with everything you needed. The only thing was that when it was loud out on the street you heard everything in your room. But that´s no surprise, because it's in the center... More

The location of the hostel was superb, in close proximity to the centre. I stayed in both an eight person dorm, and a twin private room. Both of these rooms were good, particularly the private room for the price. The Wi-Fi was operating at a good speed, and the breakfast was pleasant. Friendly staff too, games console and movies definitely... More

greeted by nice staff during check in and she kindly let me know the free parking area. This is so important as free parking is hardly found in downtown. it is just few blocks away but uphill. free breakfast is good and served at 8.30am sharply. I stayed in dorm room no. 8. it was noisy at night because it... More
