Stayed for three nights in one bedroom cottage. It was lovely and clean and well equipped. The area was beautiful with so much to see. The lady who booked us in was really helpful and gave us good tips on where to visit on the peninsula. We would happily have stayed longer.

Nice and cosy little cottages facing the bay, you feel like staying quiet reading a book, warmly , and dream about the albatross... You can enjoy the Wild Sky, the wind, the grey jade colored sea, fantastic area, so peaceful.

What a lovely place this is. We stayed here for 3 nights and didn't want to leave even though we were only going up the road to Portobello. If you are a lover of nature and quiet, you will love this place. We stayed in United 4 (4 bed with full kitchen) and the unit was very well equipped with...

Very clean and tidy. Had cooktop and fridge which made meals a lot cheaper than eating out. Had it's own ensuite which was excellent. Really enjoyed a very comfortable stay here and would highly recommend. Really quiet place to stay away from the city in a superb location on the Otago Peninsula really close to Penguin Place and the Albatross...

After reading some of the previous comments, our unit (5) was quite OK. When making reservations two weeks earlier, our only alternatives in our preferred area were $145 or $155 so $120 at Harington Point sounded appealing. Our unit was a little dated with two solid ring hotplates, lounge lighting very dim, but we had heaps of space in a...

We stayed here the night on the night of 18/19 February (2016). We booked Unit 1 (2 bedrooms with full kitchen) and were pleasantly surprised. The motel is under new management of Robin, who lives close nearby and she was very friendly, helpful and sociable. Perhaps for this reason our experience was very different from those of some earlier travelers....

Worst place we have ever stayed! Double booked our unit so made to stay in a shabby tiny room with nothing!! No discount just horrible. Had a communal bathroom that had no door handle or lock just a hole in the door. Up the unstable stairs was a kitchen that smelt so bad had broken power sockets hanging off the...

for a very modest price we got a 2-bedroom cottage with full kitchen and a view of the bay. yes, the interior is quite dated, but not in unpleasant way. spacious and light-filled. yes, a bit too far away from Dunedin, maybe 25-30 minute drive, but close to a few natural attractions, including albatross centre, penguin colony, a few DOC...

We stayed one night ; normally we enjoy being surrounded by nature - but this felt too isolated even for us ; we wish we had stayed somewhere closer to Portobello ; the room was on the small side as well - a little crammed.

We found Harington Point motel (cabin style accommodation) to be comfortable, clean and well equipped for our stay. We were warmly greeted on arrival and enjoyed a leisurely walk to the beach area. The quiet environment was appreciated. We were pleasantly surprised after reading previous reviews and would recommend them as ideal for visiting the Albatross Centre and penguin viewing....
