I spent 3 weeks sleeping in my van and one of the best decisions I made was to splurge on a room here for my last night. Comfy beds a powerful hot shower, laundry, big breakfast and great wifi! It's walking distance to so many things and I got a really good deal at bookings.com ~M

Classic Villa enjoys an enviable location - just off the street from the Christchurch Botanical Garden and Canterbury Museum. The restored beautiful Tram passes right in front of the hotel. Many of the City Centre attractions are at walking distance from the hotel. The Classic Villa is set in a period building, lovingly restored and maintained. Ms. Avril and her...

Older style house and our room was good. Comfortable Shared lounge and kitchen facilities were excellent and a fantastic breakfast was provided. Conveniently located with only a 5 minute walk to the city centre. Limited parking for 6 cars, but can park in the street free after 6pm.

We had a very well furnished and equipped suite and enjoyed the excellent selection for continental breakfast at the communal table. The hotel is just a minute walk from the museum and Hayley Park. A tram stop is right outside the door or you can walk to cathedral Square in 5-10 mins

It is very well situated in central Christchurch with some off street parking, a bonus. Our room was very plain indeed with no view at all, room 6 from memory. Bathroom was poorly designed with the shower ( which was powerful) soaking the whole bathroom making using the loo tricky. Good public areas with colourful breakfast table and setting. Guests...

Thank you Liz for your review. Response: No we are NOT Odd. Room 6 is also set up to offer facilities for persons with disabilities. The shower has a very adequate curtain to stop water problems if used correctly. The view from the window is Native ferns. Hot breakfasts are available at a modest extra cost. Our delicious Mediterranean Breakfast...

A short walk from the bus station, across from the Cathedral, sits The Classic Villa, a lovely place to end a month's long stay in New Zealand. Our room was spacious with windows on both sides and two beds, chairs, and a sofa, impeccably neat as was the bathroom with a modern shower. Downstairs, the host Peter welcomed us with...

This is an excellent place to stay in Christchurch. It has high quality accommodations, real charm and history, and a location that's hard to beat. The people here are a delight and very helpful, too! Oh yes, and breakfast is first rate. My wife and I love properties like this where you feel you are a valued guest. Highly recommended.
