My mum and her partner stayed here for one night recently. The room was clean, well set up and they had a quiet night. The staff were excellent, polite and helpful as needed. The location is good, opposite Hagley Park, lots of parking as needed. It is a 15 minute walk into town and the road is quiet. Would use...

Third stay here, last two occasions in a standard older unit. Clean but obvious signs of wear and tear. Had the end unit next to Moorhouse Road so quite annoying noise from traffic and the flour mill over the road which operates 24/7. The usual soap, shampoo etc but missing on the first night. Poor water pressure. Panel wall heater...

The room was basic and didn't appear like the photos advertised. The water pressure was very bad. The bed was like sleeping on concrete, so we checked out early. They insisted on full payment on check in. When they service the room, they don't make the bed or do the dishes. On the positive side it was very clean.

ok it's clean and the bedding was warm and clean as well. But our room looked like it was painted by a drunk first time DIY handyman. Don't expect luxury and for the price of $180 per night we were expected a bit more than basic. I expected the host guy to not be in his pyjamas when we checked...

The room was clean, but very basic. Handy to Hagley Park and situated opposite the Champion Flour Mill that runs 24x7. Moorhouse Avenue borders one boundary, and is 3x3 lane arterial route. Approx 20 mins walk to eateries, but is well situated for its price.

Very simple but clean and tidy. Good location, straight across the road from Hagley Park and walking distance to town and other attractions. Service was very helpful and friendly. Room had a well resources kitchen with everything you could need.

Nice motel, comfy beds, clean & well maintained. 20 mins walk from the train station, short drive from the airport. Be aware, reception closes at 9.30pm. We arrived on a delayed flight & they were good enough to wait for us to get the motel to check in around 10.30pm

The Gothic Heights Motel is in a quite area. You can enter from either side of the premises. Owners are helpful and friendly and the accommodation is affordable and wonderful. I will definitely be going back there if I need accommodation in Christchurch.
