My husband was one of hundreds of Wellingtonians stranded at Christchurch when the airport was fogbound last week. His company's travel firm were scrambling to find a bed for the night and managed to get a room at the Christchurch Motel. It didn't look promising, being on the main through route at Riccarton and from the outside it was your...

As a family, we flew into Christchurch on the 5th of January and left on the 15th of January. We stayed at the Christchurch Motel twice. Once on the 5th and then on the 14th. Our experience was mind blowing. Yes the accommodation was a bit tired but it was comfortable and clean. What made the the best experience ever...

Stayed here overnight whilst in the city for a concert. Didn't have high expectations as a "fly buys" reward but it was dreadful. Perhaps they give the worst room to rewards customers? The front door panels inside the room were under repair with gaps in the wood where you could see into the carpark and had undercoat slapped on. The...

Due to the recent earthquake, we had to detour for miles to get to Christchurch from Picton - a total of 12 hours driving. We didn't get to the motel until well after 11 pm. However, we rang ahead to the motel and they were great - they made sure we were able to get into our room and get...

For value for money, this place is great but don't stay here if you are expecting style and luxury. Don't get me wrong the hotel room was clean and tidy but the complex is showing it's age. Its location is also handy to restaurants and shops.

Have stayed here many times, friendly staff, close to everything, clean comfortable value for money - recommend for solo business or couples. Easy entry to property, very obliging and easy to work with during late check in.

We stayed here twice on a recently trip to New Zealand, 2 nights when we arrived and 2 nights before we left. Rooms are small, but fine for a place to sleep when you spend most of your time out and about exploring and visiting. Would be happy to stay again.

We stayed here for 3 nights as a group of 5 couples and a baby and took 3 studio units and a 2 bedroom apartment. We found the place perfect. Very good value for money!! Very clean and tidy. Had kitchens with cooking facilities and the studios had baths and seperate toilets. We were in the unit beside the road...

We were 3 motorcyclists looking for last minute accommodation, and Christchurch was full - thankfully we scored a couple of rooms at the Christchurch motel. Riccarton Road really is very busy, so access at peak times can be an issue, but it is fairly close to the city. Recommended.
