Friendly welcome and efficient reception. Very good staff. Cash or Card option for payment. BBH card discount. $66 / night for private room - good value. Very pleasant neighbourhood, as was pretty much everywhere in Christchurch - felt quite safe walking back to hostel in late evening. Hostel itself is a large single storey house. Decent sized rooms, kitchen (a...

Anthony was very kind and helpful, our van resulted to be our best friend and has been our home during the lasts months travelling around the country. We had a little problem with it the lasts days and he didn't hesitate to help...

There was NOBODY telling me they only accept cash until the last night. The next day, I had to check out very early to walk to catch the coach, carrying my luggage. It was dark night and the surrounding area is famous for high rates of violent crimes during the night. The owner forced me to walk across the red...

I apologize for your awful experience - it is part of staff policy to sort payment on arrival so guests are aware they will need to get cash out if they haven't already paid online. I have reminded staff of this once again after reading this review. It is possible to pay with credit card through our manager during the...

We only stayed here for one night, but it was a lovely little hostel, with a big double bedroom and a gorgeous cat! The kitchen was really big and the bathrooms were fine, although the power in the shower was a bit rubbish. The living room was lovely and cozy, with a good selection of books and games. Would definitely...

Amazing, small hostel with nice rooms, kittchen and a grumpy but lovely cat. Staff is very friendly and always up for a chat, cooking or having a wine (or two) together. The whole atmosphere makes you feel very welcome and kind of like at home. I stopped there on four different occasions and always enjoyed my stay!

When we first opened the hostel, we lived there ourselves so we were able to get a good feel of what was needed to create the homely hostel we wanted. Rather than cramming in bunk beds, we have kept the bed numbers low and made each room different with different second hand furniture and decorating in each room for more...

Cozy, little, homey hostel which feels much more like a shared flat than a regular hostel, as the max number of beds in a room is 3. The rooms are all decorated very homely. The staff is very caring and friendly and provides good insider tips about what to do in Christchurch and around. City Center is at walking distance...

We spent five days there, where we also bought a camper van, time for us to prepare it for road trip around the country. We were there like at home, in the house nearby. The people there are nice and helpful. It's was a pleasant moment. Thanks to all or us.

Nice and quite place to stay. definitely I recommend the place to my friends. The only thing which bothers me is I have to pay $4 per day for the internet, which is bit expensive for a back packer. Cheers

I arrived here on the first of January, all the other hostel in town were too busy, they did all they could for let me stay as long as I needed. The staff is unbelievable friendly and doesn't take long to feel part of the family. The rooms are really cozy and always clean, same for the toilet and the...
