Had another wonderful stay in February. We were lucky enough to have both Donald and David look after us this time and we couldn't have been treated any more warmly. A wonderful house with wonderful hosts. The equestrian room really offers a comfortable stay and this time we had enough time to enjoy the swimming pool which was lovely. Fantastic...

Our two nights at Stonefield were the most comfortable and memorable of our 9day holiday in the south island. We were celebrating our 50th wedding aniversary and although our other accommodations were great, Stonefield was in a class of its own. The owners were so genuinely friendly and nothing was a trouble to them... David kindly drove into town when...

We only stayed one night at Stonefield but we wish it could have been longer. The owners of Stonefield were in the airline industry. If I were to compare the facility to the airlines, Business Class does not do it justice. It was FIRST CLASS!!. The facility was recently built as a B&B. They thought of everything and did it...

we had planned a stay in Christchurch-city, then that earthquake came. What a shock. But we found a nice retreat in the garden of delight, in David´s and Donald´s tiny Stonefield house, known for exceptional hospitality and readiness for help. We could relax intensively in a exclusive ambience and a cultivated and refined atmosphere. It was a real treat, no...

As kiwi's passing through Canterbury we were looking for somewhere reasonably priced, quiet and secure. This place surpassed all our expections. It is in a beautiful location, the hosts are friendly & attentive but not intrusive. Included within the price of the gorgeous and comfortable room is an awesome breakfast, wifi, gps for local navigation, over 200 movies, and a...

This Bed & Breakfast is truly outstanding. The attention to detail is exceptional. The breakfasts are not just enormous but beautifully cooked from ingredients sourced from the family farm. The home-made yoghurt was the best I have ever tasted. Evening drinks with Canapes were a nice touch too, expecially when served to us by the pool, after a long tiring...

I can't recommend Stonefield highly enough. From the moment my friend and I, who were visiting the South Island to play polo, arrived, we felt completely spoilt. Our host, Donald, seemed to think of everything, from installing a GPS device into our hire car on arrival and programming into it the key addresses we'd need, to contacting the TV station...

The area is predominately lifestyle blocks with a few working farms as well. We are approximately 20 minutes from Christchurch airport and 25 minutes from Christchurch city.
