An awesome B&B. Would definitely recommend to friends and family if they're in Christchurch. The owner is very warm and welcoming. He would stay up until 3-4am in the morning for those who need to check-in late. The food they provided was very good and full of variety. Made a lot of new friends there as well. If you need...

This was a chance discovery made by 3 couples travelling together. All rooms had private facilities, an old world charmer full of all the comforts of home. A wonderful chance to rejuvenate in this oasis after a busy active holiday around the south island. The house, rooms all comfortable and clean. The breakfast area and courtyard both attractive and relaxing. Our...

Great little BnB we stayed 3 nights and would stay again. Very comfortable rooms like a home away from home with a seperate breakfast area and shared kitchen. The breakfast was fantastic as was the hosts interaction and local knowledge. Top marks!

Nice room in cottage with kitchen, sitting area, and outside patio. Breakfast with guests from other cottages served in another cottage 10 yards away. "Downtown" Christchurch about 20 minutes walk, but also easily accessible by public transportation. Staff very helpful at suggesting nearby restaurants and tips on activities. Very much enjoyed the walking tour of the downtown earthquake area.

We were very impressed by the uniqueness and the peaceful environment of the place. Close to everything, clean and comfortable accommodation. Without their great effort we might not be able to enjoy our stay in such a memorable way.

Lovely bed and breakfast in Christchurch that everyone should stay. I stayed for five nights and really enjoyed the lovely breakfast room and the garden space. Highly recommended to anyone transiting Christchurch or visiting New Zealand. A real kiwiana experience in this KiWi land (the cute cat Marmite is very welcoming).

Nice room and pleasant surroundings. Really has everything you need for a break in Christchurch. Located close to Colombo Street which makes it an easy walk into town. We choose to walk around when we can and this was ideal for us. You can take a bus if you wish. Steve was a friendly and informative host too.

We have a quick stop in Christchurch during our South island visit. The Designer Cottage stood out during our serch. We loved the balance of heritage and local community experience. We travel heaps, so we think Designer Cottage B&B offers more than just a normal B&B comfortable stay. Its architecture and unique style make it extremely special. Thank you again...
