The room was clean and a good size but that is the only good thing I can say about this place. Although wifi is advertised it does not work most of the time. People were smoking inside, particularly worrying given that the smoke alarm in my room had been removed so I wonder how many of the rooms actually had...

First impressions were poor, having to wait 15 mins in a que to check in. The staff seemed apathetic and useless and the entire place is a mess. The wifi is awful, the kitchen is very badly equiped, the lounge is ok, but overall; avoid this place at all costs!

Awful hostel, dirty rooms, confined showers and helpless staff. A rude old man was also present. Good location but that was it! We booked last minute but should have carried on looking for somewhere better . . . like the side of the road.

I had the misfortune of staying at this backpackers after my flight out of Wellington was cancelled. There was hardly any accomodation left and I hadn't read the review for this place so booked it thinking it would be better than staying the night at the airport. First appearance was dirty and disorganised with staff who obviously didn't want to...

We only stayed 1 night and this was quite enough. The place does not feel as though it is being looked after at all. The bed was held together with sticky tape and we didn't even venture into the showers. It's a shame as it is in a good location but feels unkempt.

Stayed here for 1 night for the Homegrown Music Festival. By the time I looked at booking accomodation I didnt have much left to chose from and Im glad I didnt read the reviews beforehand. Right from the moment we walked in our experience was bad. The check in process is painfully slow and backward. We were greeted by a...

We arrived at about 6.30 pm and had to queue at least 20 minutes to check in. we were then told our room (double ensuite) wasn't ready as it had a broken window. It took another hour for staff to nail a piece of plywood over the broken window before we could finally occupy our room. No bedside light, overhead...

I booked in here during the Guns N Roses Concert as it was the only place in the city with beds available, and there is a reason for this. Thankfully I was only there two nights. The building is an old converted hotel and so there are many floors, the kitchen is the 4th floor, laundry 2nd etc. I was...

I reckon it is okay for a few days stay but do not stay here for more than a week in which you will be moved to the second floor with the other long termers. This floor in particular is never cleaned and smells awful and is like the filthiest of filthy uni halls. Forget getting any sleep because certain...
