This is the first review I have ever written, I feel compelled to write it because the hotel room was quite literally one of the worst hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. We stayed in room 110 (I have also seen a terrible review on room 111) It's like a basement room that looks out to a horrible courtyard. The room its self was disgusting, not because it was dated, but because it was dirty and unclean. There was hair in the bathroom which had been swept into a pile and not removed, mold, the windows were filthy, floor wasn't cleaned properly. It looked NOTHING like the pictures they advertise. Unfortunately I only kept two pictures, but it's enough to show this is no one near a 4 star hotel room. I can only assume we got this room because we used Booking.com and got a good price, so they put us in the underground rooms. On checkout the staff didn't seem at all interested in our feedback. In hindsight I wish we'd just changed hotels and lost out on our money, we were only in Wellington one night and this was a real damper on the time we spent there. Honestly I would never choose to stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.…
We were upgraded from a studio to an apartment. We stayed 3 nights. Felt very special. Bed was king size, very comfortable, crisp sheets. Shower had great pressure and very roomy. Good complimentary products, especially the soap. Kitchenette was great and the lounge dining area. Very clean. Front line staff were friendly and helpful. On one night there was a bit of noise from a neighbouring room, sounded like they were unpacking during the night, however from talking to our family who stayed elsewhere and had small children staying in the next room to them, we felt the one night of occasional disruption was acceptable.
The staff were very helpful from the moment we arrived til we departed. Had a one-bedroom unit that was very spacious and clean. Great facilities in the room and right in the city central - easy for restaurants, shopping, walking.
Wow very modern rooms facilities are excellent staff were very accommodating parking was easy and when we came back from parking the car our bags had already been taken to our rooms. This will be my hotel of choice when traveling to Wellington
We stayed a couple of nights in CityLIfe Wellington. We were upgraded on checking in to a one bedroom suite which was fantastic. Lots of space, very nice amenities, everything you'd need for a longer stay. The bed was super-comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect - on Lambton Quay so close to shopping, restaurants and the cable car. Car parking in the Wilson's a short walk away. We'd definitely stay here again!
