Yes, Mercure Hotel at 345 The Terrace has had a much-needed make over! Completely different hotel the moment you walk in the lobby. Beautifully renovated, I am well impressed and recommend to all. Close to everything but away from noise tucked away at the suburban end of The Terrace.

We had a lovely stay at the Grand Mercure Wellington on the Terrace. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed is very comfortable. Nice view over Wellington city from the room and even a better view from the restaurant and bar. All staff members were very friendly and helpful. The dinner at the restaurant was amazing. Me...

A quiet place to stay with excellent food and great service, rooms are very comfortable and also has a cozy lounge area with a fire to relax with a beer and a paper. I'd only stay here if I had a car as it's a hilly walk into CBD (Parking @ $35/night).

Hotel was recently renovated so the hotel rooms are new and clean. Etc. The restaurant is quite expensive so it is better to eat meals in city centre. It is relatively close to centre , the only downside is it's straight downhill walk. Easy going down, may be a challenge for anyone not in relatively good shape. Staff was friendly...

We had all the hype about Executive suites, views of Wellington etc but instead found very small room (not as big as most motel rooms) lights that went off on one switch so that you had to get out of bed, no view - over the reception area, no air conditioning, very noisy as party in next door house and...

The hotel is a bit further out of town than a lot of hotels in Wellington but not too far away. The staff here are lovely, great service. The room was nice and clean, newly renovated. The only reason this didn't get a 5 star rating was due to the ongoing renovations, couldn't stay in room to work due to...

We stayed two nights in one of the new renovated rooms. Rooms are smallish but quiet, however the aircon doesn't work at the moment. We spent a lot of the night quite hot. The hotel is situated on a large hill, so walking anywhere requires a steep incline back to the hotel. Overall would return and recommend, staff are friendly...

Stayed two nights in one of the renovated rooms. Fit out is good, nice carpet, sheets and bathrooms. Rooms are quiet, but perhaps a bit smaller than expected. The hotel is a short walk in to town, so be prepared for a walk. Overall would return and recommend, staff are friendly and once the renovation is complete should be a...
