Names can be a bit deceptive. If you're looking for a 'Grand Mercure', you may be a bit disappointed. This is a medium level service hotel operating out of an old building, which has had a bit of a facelift, in the area of furniture and carpets, to make it look a bit trendy. We stayed for 2 nights. Check in and check out were easy and friendly. Our room was 'fine' - a little tired but clean and without problems. We didn't use any of the hotel services so can't comment but we would happily return as the location was great.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for one night. The accommodation was big enough for us all and when I requested extra bedding it came without any fuss. The reception were helpful with information about parking (tricky) and the local area. We managed to get a park outside which was free from 6pm. Overall the hotel has dated fittings...

Thirteenth time of staying Central City over WI Conference, feels like home and so close to venue to walk. Great staff who could not have been more helpful, especially when a loose flashing created a form of water torture in the heavy rain, but an alert to them next morning saw it fixed very quickly. We were in 101 so...

We had a one night stay on Sunday 19th June in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor. Room 201 is extremely dark & right next to the elevator shaft & has a view of a concrete wall & narrow alleyway. The noise on Monday morning of what sounded like rubbish trucks at various early morning times was very...

We had a one bedroom apartment on the 15th floor with views on 3 sides. It was superb, we won't stay anywhere else in Wellington now. The Hotel is fine although it is a little tired. With the lack of accommodation available it would do well from a makeover. It is within walking distance to many attractions and the restaurant of Cuba St.
