Convenient location with free overnight parking outside. A bit noisy from bar close by and traffic. No air conditioning in our room. Good heater however. Public transport and restaurants nearby. As these are apartments no restaurant on site but another Mecure just a few hundred metres away.

This is a great hotel right in the middle of wellington, it is very quiet though it is walking distance from all the interesting day or night activities that Wellington has to offer. The rooms are very large with modern decor and amenities. The staff are amazing and very helpful. This is the best place to stay in Wellington.

our room was on the 15th floor facing the harbour. Fabulous views and high enough to be away from most of the noise. Windows are not double gazed though and I suspect it could be quite noisy if the wind was up as there was a 'whistle sound' through the window which didn't quite seal properly. However, bed was reasonably...

A very comfortable one night stay in a one bedroom apartment with a small kitchen - everything required for a longer stay including a nice city and harbour view. Central location close to airport bus stops and sister hotel with a restaurant nearby. Many other restaurants within walking distance, also shopping, the waterfront and attractions. Reception staff pleasant and helpful.

Hotel room was clean and front desk staff were very helpful and friendly but the street noise especially at night if you have a window open was extremely bad. Bar around the corner was very noisy (could place for a drink tho) and lots of delivery truck noise early in the morning kept waking us up.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the 10th floor. Only a kitchenette as we wanted a balcony. Only looked over other buildings but it was nice to be able to go out of the room. Would have been better if the floor of the balcony was smooth & had a couple of chairs, we sat on cushions. Good space...

Arrived on delayed early morning flight from Sydney. Hotel foyer is quite '80s. No restaurant on site and no room service .. so would NOT recommend for business people. Rooms are OK but bed was the softest I have ever had in a hotel in 30 years (so pretty bad). Staff - reception and housekeeping - work hard. However despite...

Rooms and building deserve a refresh. The staff is so kind and helpful. Position OK for city center. Breakfast in the other hotel on the other side of the block (ok for a young couple but potentially a problem for impaired people)

I had the opportunity to visit Wellington during a short trip and I must say Hotel Grand Mercure was very convenient and comfortable. The hotel is very well located in the city centre, close to most of the local attractions, restaurants and bar. My bedroom was conveniently equipped for my short trip. The front of house staff was very helpful...

I stayed here on business for 4 nights, in a first floor unit. I cannot fault either the accommodation or service. The room was spacious and serviced daily to a high standard. Even though this establishment doesn't have a bar or restaurant they have a sister hotel just around the corner that does. The front counter staff were efficient, the...
