Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Atura Wellington is lauded for its prime location that enables easy access to the city's attractions, with many guests appreciating the hotel's inviting atmosphere and comfortable rooms. The hotel also garners praise for its cleanliness and friendly service, though some travelers have pointed out areas for improvement, such as room service consistency and Wi-Fi quality.
While the value is seen as reasonable and the green initiative a plus, there are mixed reviews regarding room quality and additional parking fees.

Decided to skip off for a weekend break to Wellington. Hit up Booking.com and with a little help from the detailed reviews settled on Ature Wellington.
Great mobile-only pricing meant we got the room at $100 for the night perfect for the budget.
It was only after that we googled the location and realised just how close we were to Parliament and the Wharf.
Building is secure and key accessed elevators, parking available at a price but it’s cheaper than council parking.
Room is small but has all necessities. Jug, tv, iron, fan, heater, seperate bathroom. Generous soft queen bed. Great for weekend site-seekers just needing a secure, clean, comfortable place to sleep after a hectic day of taking in all Wellington has to offer.
Free wifi and a bar and restaurant. Room service available at all times and 10am checkout.
Will return and highly recommended

Stayed one night with my teenage daughter. Wasn't sure what to expect and have high expectations so I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Sure the room was smaller than many hotels nowadays but it had everything we needed, quality of things were good. A bit more colour in the room or pictures on the walls in the bedroom would be more interesting. A plug in the bathroom sink would be helpful too.
I was only expecting a continental breakfast so was delighted to have full breakfast options with the family package.
Overall a very good stay and will be back regularly.
Thank you all.

I really like the Atura - the rooms are painted white and the hotel doesn't have the gloomy feel of other hotels. Windows open in the rooms letting in fresh air. Beds and pillows are comfortable and the hotel is very quiet. Food is good too. It offers very good value for money and is close to key amenities (e.g. supermarket).

Hard beds and hard pillows. Could feel springs through thin sheet. Fridge didnt keep food cold we had to fiddle with settings and put thermostat on coldest setting but still food wasnt cold enough. Wouldnt bother keeping meat in fridge. No ice area if wanting ice for drinks. No microwave. Kettle was small and only for one cup at a time for a family of three adults. For the price they charge would look elsewhere and ask whats in unit prior to booking. Only reason Im giving 2 stars is for the room attendants who tidied the room. Came home with sore neck. These hotels need to prioritise comfortable beds because when we pay for a bed to sleep in it should be comfortable. Wont rebook here again.

Thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay with Atura. I'm sorry to read that your stay with the hotel did not meet expectations. The list of amenities offered in room are listed online, and the staff are always on hand to assist with any requests for storing food and heating if required - none of our rooms have access to a microwave. I'm also sorry to hear that your sleep was not as expected - we normally get great reviews on our Dream Beds, so will have to have a look into this for future guests. Apologies, as we do not want to be sending guests home being unrested. Kind regards, Craig Wood General Manager

Firstly the passages are so narrow I could not get into the room on my mobility scooter, only one spot for disabled parking so when the second disabled person arrived we lost our parking. Breakfast on the first morning was lovely on the second morning the poached egg was hard, toast was cold and unbuttered, bacon was not properly cooked, so very disappointing. I would say the room was clean and nice size and the bathroom but for a disabled person to shower it was difficult. So not all negatives but a lot of negatives. A bath would have been better for me as I am a large person and the shower chair was for a very small person.

Over priced for the room quality and size. Photos of rooms are not clear for what you book for and the booking journey is not clear about what type of room you get! Cleaning servicing times unclear and was woken up every morning even though we did not request a room clean - room was adequately cleaned when requested after the fact - no microwave or any form of cooking or food heating appliances and food menu is very small - food and drink service very unclear… overall not a bad stay but wouldn’t pay $600 for that stay at all, definitely better locations that include way more amenities for less

Brakesh and TJ provided warm, friendly greetings and information upon check in; they provided extra linens and restocked our beverage needs most graciously. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate with many amenities; the location and price were an excellent value. We were able to safely store our baggage after checkout, too, so we were not burdened for another day of sightseeing. New World Grocery store is just down the street. The upgraded king bed was so comfortable, and our entire 3 day stay was pleasantly memorable. We would certainly return without hesitation and highly recommend!

I was slightly hesitant to book this for my one night stay due to it being 3 star, however this hotel is very tidy and extremely good value for money. Nicely laid out and presented reception area and good service. Room is fairly small but not tiny and has an impressive TV with a good selection of channels. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was excellent. Had a package for under $160 for a one night stay that included a buffet breakfast (which was great) and this is some seriously good value for a night in Wellington at a hotel. Would highly recommend!

We visited as a group of 4 in 3 rooms, our event was located 2 blocks away and the hotel was very convenient for many things. Reception was especially helpful and always seemed to know where other members of the were. The room was comfortable and had all we needed. Enjoyed 2 meals in restaurant. Overall, the stay was better than expected and I would return.

Nice place, clean, new, modern and a good location for what we wanted. Easy to walk to many good places (for us). All very good. Unfortunately, we stayed on a busy week end and paid a bomb, which really diminished the "value for money" dimension. The upside of staying for the week end is that we didn't have to pay $25 a day for parking on the property - there is plenty of free street parking on the week end. We quite clearly said "No" to fee paying parking. What really rings alarm bells for me was that in spite of never entering Altura's parking area, we were billed $51 dollars for parking as we were told, because "the cctv cameras picked up your license". We never, ever went into the parking area. We happened to pick up the mischarge added to our credit card, after paying for the room on eftpos. We queried the matter and were refunded the $51, but the whole episode seems curious, or worse, to me.
