Gourmet Stay is easy to find, brilliantly located and good value for money. Cuba St is nearby and the rest of town easily accessible on foot. The room was clean and warm, the beds comfortable. The continental breakfast provided good variety and excellent Bircher. The staff (Holly) was friendly and welcoming. The only things missing were bedside lamps (Room 7).

I stayed in a ground floor room with kitchenette, dining table, lounge, en suite. One queen and one single bed in the sleeping area. Quite cosy, though I needed an extra blanket. Fortunately as only using one bed I was able to pinch the quilt from the other bed, as there were no spare blankets in the room. The lack...

I use tripadvisor to plan all my trips and I think this is probably the first time I've been left disappointed. It's not that bad per se, just decidedly average, but it's overall score, and rank, is very surprising - particularly considering the price. The room smelt damp and musty when we arrived. The lock on the door didn't work...

Very nice and helpful staff. Bed comfortable, room clean, tidy and modern. I guess it is the age of the building but noise from the floor above was not ideal. Not noisy people it is just you could hear them walking around and talking. Also, the fridge in the room was noisy but I had nothing in it so just...

Lovely warm service at this character-rich small but perfectly formed hotel located in a quiet and convenient backstreet of Wellington's main city streets. Our room was clean, spacious, light-filled and had everything we needed. Breakfast was yum, good coffee, cosy enough to feel like fellow guests are not strangers. Definitely my new go-to for Wellington accommodation!

A surprise for our family of 5, a unique, comfortable place with friendly staff. It is an advocate for the neighborhood and encourages exploring by offering advice on nearby host spots. It is an easy walk to the waterfront and museum, restaurants and other attractions.

I chose this place for my Last night in Wellington because of the spa pretty much! I arrived early but was happy to be able To check in. The room was the top Floor (2nd) and only has stair access. Got there in the end. The room was pretty compact but the deck was as Big as the room. Private...

Not sure where Gourmet fits in with the property. Parking is a problem in Wellington. There is metered parking out front, but you have to move your car every two hours. We were instructed to park our car in a parking garage a few streets over, which cost us $54 NZD for overnight parking. Bed was "queen-sized" but seemed much...

due to airport cancellations I needed assistance with elderly family and Linda was amazing. Above and beyond the call of duty, she rearranged the room, leant me a phone to rebook flights, assisted with my personal angst and was generally marvellous

Loved the stay. Tidy and small place. Stairs are narrow which I found harder on crutches but that is kinda my fault. A bit sad that the great little cafe connected with the accom seems now no longer operating??

Dear zippy_trent Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, we no longer operate our cafe to the public but that allow us to have more variety and have more space at breakfast for our in-house hotel guests. Thank you again, we hope to have you stay with us again in the future....
