My wife and I spent four nights at this B&B in the Wellington suburb of Vogeltown while attending our son's wedding. We were warmly welcomed by host Willie Ryan and that set the tone for the whole visit. We endured a freezing cold southerly storm outside but the home was warm, dry and cosy. We had a room with a...

We had three nights in Finnimore House. Very comfortable room, shared facilities. Willie was very informative and would have helped with directions and locations to visit but as we had been to Wellington several times before, we were in a good position to get to all the places we needed to. Centrally located in a quiet street we found it...

A large, comfortable house with the two guest rooms and shared bathroom on the ground floor. Warm welcome from the host, who is very helpful with recommendations on what to do in Wellington. It brought back memories of what a B&B should be....

A charming place to stay. The ambience of this Historic House is impressive. Very friendly Irish/Kiwi hosts, who give lots of information about "What's on in and around Wellington". Big clean rooms and a healthy and rich breakfast. I was fully satisfied with my stay.

My son and I stayed for 9 days with hosts Willie and Kathleen in November 2014. It was a perfect stay, with all you would hope for. They welcomed us into their lovely historic home (built in the 1870s) - and were so helpful in figuring out public transport, things to see, and the cultural differences you encounter as a...

We were only passing through Wellington and had one night before catching the ferry in the morning. As always we chose the accommodation based on what we thought would be the best value for money, and we were not disappointed. Finding it by car after dark was a bit of a challenge, however once we arrived we received a warm...

We needed alternative accomodation when coming down to see a new grandaughter, so looked for something nearby. Could not have made a better choice. The hospitality, bedroom, food, decor and ambiance all excellent. We have recommended Finnimore House to many friends and will look forward to staying again. We were pleasantly surprised at the cost. Excellent value for money.

We stayed here 5 years ago and remembered the warm welcome which immediately made us feel at home. Coming back to Wellington, there was only one choice, and we were not disappointed. This is a beautiful family home and Willie is a genuine and welcoming man who clearly loves to have international visitors staying. The location drawback is that Wellington...

We stayed 4 nights with Willie and Kathleen having booked both the Blue Room and the Library, and will definitely look to stay again on my next trip to Wellington. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed, the beds extremely comfortable, and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for Willie, even down to bringing me...
