Just going to add my 2 cents worth as I was with "No distinction at all" The rooms are well appointed with nice décor and the beds are very comfortable and I like that they don't have those awful quilted bedspreads just a white striped sheet that gets laundered between guests. The room has a heater and a fan for...

Dear Glenda Thank you for your review. Sorry to hear that people in the public car park next door disturbed you during your stay. There shouldn't be any loitering in the car park and I will bring this up with my team to keep an eye on. Kind regards Tony Hotel Manager

Did what we kiwis seldom do - complained and asked for replacement room. Eventually after two giants to reception and sitting around packed to leave for 40 minutes, and with little grace or enthusiasm the night desk operator moved us from 109 to 509 but it was barely worth it These rooms back onto the car park and all have...

We stayed there as a group of family and stayed in one of the penthouse suites. It was just stunning, the views across the city were amazing, the open plan living area and kitchen were perfect and there was so much space in the 3 huge bedrooms. Bathrooms were immaculate and the heated floors were so great first thing in...

We stayed for 2 nights, the room was comfortable and warm. We wanted to use the pool but it looked dirty, it was cold so there was no way I would allow my child to go in there. We told the guy in reception he was clueless to the problem but al least he apologized.

The Distinction Hotel i can imagine was once very luxurious. The rooms are all a generous size with quality fittings and appliances. However time has not been kind to the place. As they have aged their design choices have in some cases become eyesore or the materials havnt weathered the test of time. The carpets are all very worn and...

Three Colleagues and I stayed here in June. My room was the smaller of the rooms, which in no way detracted from being a nice place to stay. All three spoke well of it. The room I had was a one bedroom with Kitchen. I personally really liked it. It was stylish in my eyes with the components within the...

Stayed here for a week for work. Check in was a breeze. Very clean, modern. Friendly staff. I could easily live in these apartments. Full kitchen, dish drawer, full size fridge/freezer. Washer/dryer. Each room has a balcony. Really comfortable bed. Car parks available and close to some really great restaurants. My only complaint is that the carpet needs replacing but...

The hotel is lovely - clean, spacious and has a well-equipped kitchen but the street noise really spoilt my three-night stay. I was on the Tory St side and of the building and the boy racers were having a ball then at 5 o'clock in the morning the street cleaners started and the glass and rubbish collection. I was on...

I know The Distinction is capable of better... Unbeknownst to us our trip, to see a show, coincided with a sports event (because we had booked in advance and are not sports fenatics), hence the room rate had escalated significantly! Couple this with a sports reveller deciding to play a prank by operating the fire alarm early on our second...

I only needed somewhere to stay before an early flight the following morning. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take advantage of the hotel facilities but you couldn't get any more central and not overly noisy. The rooms were spacious and included everything you'd expect. Very expensive so for a short stay not exactly a week long holiday destination....
