We choose this location for its proximity to the ferry terminal. Staff provided great info on driving to the terminal. Clean facilities, good location and reasonable price. Would stay there again also fairly quite given city location

Great to be at this property for close proximity to the ferries. However that pretty much ends the good points. The room was so cold. Our family was there in the middle of winter and unlike other properties we stayed at on our roadtrip...the heating was terrible. We would turn the heating up to max, leave on all night and...

Found the location perfect for our overnight stays and the close proximity to the Ferry Terminals going to and from the South Island by the Cook Strait Ferries. We had 2 nights where we stayed here. The Restaurant was really nice and warm and cosy on a cold winter's night and the meals were very delicious. . The same could...

Wasn't our first choice but the place we wanted is closed in winter but I really liked this place. Basic parking bays for our motor home, perhaps a little too close together, but WiFi included and we received a pack explaining bus routes to the city along with directions to the ferry the next day. The receptionist was lovely! Didn't...

Stayed on a powered motorhome site here for one night and would recommend. Good little bar/restaurant on-site, good hot showers (with time limit), laundry facilities, good dump station and decent water and power supply for campervans. A little noise from the highway but nothing too much. My only suggestion would be that the directions to the park in their adverts...

If you are catching the morning Cook Strait ferry then this is a good place to stop for the night as it is only a short drive in the morning to the ferry terminal. We stayed on a power site with our caravan along with many other camper vans. The sites are close so if you have a large vehicle...

Nice enough, rooms, and powered sites available,we were camping on the lawn, small but clean showers $36 per night, laundry and kitchen available. Right next to motorway but has bus to Wellington right outside $5 pp each way. Good place to stop and recharge before moving on. Staff were friendly polite and knowledgeable about local information.

We stayed here in March. We were looking for accommodation that was close to the suburbs of Tawa and Porirua. This was a great choice as it is much closer to those suburbs than a central city hotel. We found the hotel to be very good value and the staff pleasant and accommodating. The motel was located on the hills...

The hotel is just above motorway and could do with double glazing. Furnishing are not up to rating level but the place was clean. The restaurant did give our party a lovely meal so would recommend using it if staying.

We stayed 2 nights at the Capital Gateway Motor Inn on a powered site. We had a fairly large Motorhome and as the campervans were parked in slots with no space in between, parking was very tight and a little too close. There is less than a metre between the vehicles which is a big draw back but there is...
