If you want corteous and reliable customer service do not book this hotel. I reserved a room at the hotel yesterday for my son and his girlfriend. I was advised that reception would be closed after 6.30pm but the instructions for collecting a room key would be emailed to him. I confirmed his details twice with the receptionist who forgot to send any instructions. My son arrived at the hotel to find himself locked out. There were no night staff at the hotel to deal with him and the only telephone number provided by the hotel was for an external booking agency who were quite useless and said they had no way of contacting the hotel except for email which would be picked up next day. After an hour my son gave up and took a taxi to a friend's house. So what happens if there is a fire or other emergency at the hotel and people have to be evacuated? Is it even legal to have guests on site without hotel staff? I emailed the hotel several times but no one has had the manners or interest to ring me back. The very least I would expect is an apology and refund of the booking. So do not book this hotel if you want to be assured that someone will face up if they stuff up instead of hiding from customers behind a call centre number.

We stayed in a large executive room at the Park for $196NZ per night. For an efficient comfortable no frill hotel this was excellent. Furnishings were comfortable and room was spacious. Spotlessly clean. Modern styling. Comfortable king bed. Cheaper and smaller rooms on lower floors. Reception only open during the day. don't think there were extras like room service. Car park just across the road at $6 per day at weekends and $18 during the week. Centrally placed. Greatr place to stay in Wellington

So many disappointments: - double charged for the room - very little service - not overly clean - noise at 7am from renovations to downstairs bar - very limited reception hours and closed for one hour at lunch - no mini bar - no luggage help - no early check in possible - rooms were open when we arrived back at the hotel Will not stay again

I stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. Very average with only 1 tiny shower / toilet for 3 rooms! The couch in the lounge was a disgrace and covered in stains. I travel a lot and I wont choose to stay here again.

I was booked to stay here for 2 nights as it was close to a conference. This is not at the moment a 4 star hotel. The reception is only open 9-6. Both restaurants are not in operation so there is no room service or restaurant to eat at. No mini bar either which was not as they advertise. If you need anything then will not get anything outside those hours. I found towels in my room stamped hospital health. When I asked reception if they could give an explanation why I have hospital towels in my room they wouldn’t respond. The lifts are also dodgy and grubby. I totally understand that Covid has a huge impact on the hospitality industry but it has hit the Park Hotel badly. Positives is that it is in a really good location and the bed was really comfortable. There are full cooking facilities so that would be good if you wanted to cook at the hotel. We were at level 1 when I stayed. I wouldn’t stay again
