The room my friend and I had did not have a bathroom, so we had to share the facilities with other guests. That would have been ok had the room been cheaper. Beds ok. Not much channel choice on tv. Mostly undercover parking. Hosts were a little offhand.

My Son and I were treading back from a Funeral in Auckland and needed somewhere with good amenities for the night and not having stayed here before we were a little anxious. The hosts were so welcoming and the room lovely and spacious. We paid for a room with its own toilet and shower and was great value. My Son...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Glad that you enjoyed your night and our lovely king size beds, most people comment on how comfortable they are. Sorry about the microwave issue but the kitchen was 3 doors down from you on the same level, with ovens and microwaves. We look forward to you staying with us...

3 of us arrived mid-late afternoon Queens birthday weekend Sunday only to find our room had 2 beds (king and single) in it and not 2 rooms as understood from booking on line. No rooms like one we wanted here. Room clean, tidy - but COLD. Hand soap container fell off wall, fixed quickly. Turned heater on medium and left...

Thank you for placing a feedback, we always appreciate feedback being negative or positive.so we can improve our service. You booked through Booking.Com, and it clearly states in the room description Standard Triple room 1 x Single Bed and 1 large double bed ( being a king). There is no mention of being two rooms on any of our room...

Average room type, spacious and clean. Had issues with my baby though. Had done my bookings through booking.com which did not have provisions to select child. Ended up with a not so friendly host. Comment was that there is no mention of the baby - after much grumpiness from the host, we had no choice but to stick with the...

3 night stay in a double room with balcony. We were impressed with the room and is in a good location to the town etc. We wanted to stay an extra night in the end but the hotel was fully booked. The owners were more than helpful in finding us somewhere for that night as booking.com had nothing available and...

I just want to start by saying that I don't usually write reviews on motels as I think in general that they can be unfair and misleading when written by those who just like to complain, BUT in this instance I think it is more than necessary to share my thoughts on the Silver Fern Lodge and it's hosts. We...

Rang up to ask about the family room and the firmness of the bed as I have a bad back. He said I can't tell you about the bed as I am on my own. It was all too hard for him to answer. I asked is your place good for families? He said look I think you're after a...
