Great spot with excellent facilities including pools of various temperatures. The children will be delighted with the water slide. Our unit was very comfortable although instructions on how to use the oven would have helped rather than playing trial and error.

We managed to get a camper through the Britz/Maui Get Moving Promotion. We were given a spot close to the facilities which was convenient with 2 children under the age of 11yrs. The communal facilities were clean and warm. Sky TV available in the lounge, heaters in the kitchen, lounge and bathroom. A code is required to access the toilets and showers which gives a sense of security as well. The pools were popular and warm. No lifeguards onsite (which is advised by signage around the place). I'm glad i can say that I have been there, Not too sure about the price as you are still required to pay entry to the pools and although discounted, it still adds up.

We decided to extend our stay in taupo one extra night but as our hotel was full we decided to pop in here to see accomodation. We ended up getting a cabin with kitchen facilities without the bathroom as we liked the cabin better. Was very modern (cabin 34) had good facilites, heat pump nice and modern also had a nice deck where we could sit and watch our child on playground nearby. Bathroom/shower/toilet facilities were close to our cabin but a bit suprised they were unisex, although there was no problems, it was a bit odd at first. The access to the bathroom facilities was via a keypad on the door. The facilities were awesome, my daughter especially loved the huge bouncy pillow to play on, this also had sand around it for kids to play in. The pools were great although one of the slides wasnt working, loved the bubble bed! We recieved a discount for the de brett pools which made it much cheaper, was well worth money as they allowed us to use pools on the discounted rate prior to check in that day so we spent morning at pools then checked in at 2pm then back to pools later in the evening til closing. Was such a great stay that we have booked again.

We stayed for one night at this resort and it didn't disappoint us. The outdoor geothermal pool is really relaxing especially during the Winter.
I just hope that the fees for the outdoor and indoor pools were free for those who are staying at their rooms.
Heads Up:
The entrance fee for the outdoor pool also gives an access to the 12 indoor private pools (18 years old and above, ID will be required).

Stopped for one night on a powered site for a camper van and ended up staying for two. The park was nearly empty due to Covid but frankly that suited us.
Secured a great powered site with hedges and trees all around. This facility is dog friendly and the staff are terrific. The facilities are close to being the best we have used. The kitchen is spotless, and has everything. The outdoor BBQ area is also well worth using. The cost is higher than most at $26 per person per night but that does entitle you to a 50% discount on the thermal spa pools entry down behind the resort.
The grounds are really well kept and the showers and toilets are cleaned regularly, are very modern and even have piped music.
Well really do recommend staying here if you don't mind being a few kilometres from the Taupo shopping area. Well worthwhile and we would certainly stay there again !

We stayed here for two nights and the kids had a blast in the pools and water slides, there is definitely a pool to suit everyone with all of them being a slightly different temperature. My family of 4 stayed in the motel room which was very clean and modern, good cooking facilities and air conditioning which was much needed in summer. We found there wasn't that much to do in Taupo so it was great to have a fantastic little resort to spend our time in.

We stayed a few days at DeBretts for a family gathering with a couple of motor homes, a basic cabin, a motel style unit, a studio and a superior studio. All were good and the amenities and facilities were excellent as were the grounds with lovely trees and hedges between accommodations.
Our superior studio looked basic on the outside but was nice inside and very well appointed with underfloor heating, Wifi, large TV with Sky sport and movie channels, and a small outside deck with table and chairs. The kitchenette had a microwave and two hotplates as well as fridge and dish drawer dishwasher and a coffee plunger. We technically had views of the mountains but the weather conspired against us so we had brief glimpses during our stay, but it would be lovely on a fine sunny day.
There was shower body wash and shampoo and hand-wash supplied in dispensers and they will service the room and replenish anything as needed daily.
Having the hot pools on site was great and we got a discount because we were staying there and towels provided that we could take with us. The playground and bouncy pillow were a big hit with the kids. We gathered in the camp kitchen on the first night and it was also well set up with plenty of options for different groups and a TV/lounge area.
The only thing I could fault in our room was the lack of reading lamps/lights. We only had overhead down lights which were all on or off (with a dimmer – but if you dimmed them you couldn’t see to read).
We would definitely stay again if in Taupo, it was overall very good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

+1
My whole family came and enjoyed 3 nights of our summertime here. My family of 4 booked a superior cabin as well as my parents and two siblings in the same cabin next to us which was great because we were all close. My brother and his family of 4 booked the standard size cabin which worked for them too as they had the kids playground and bounce pad close by.
I enjoyed staying in this cabin as it had a big flat screen tv with various channels. We had a good size kitchen which includes everything you need, mini fridge, big bathroom and the room overall was super spacious. I liked the view of the lake from our own private deck that had 4 seats and a table to sit on and relax. We also had our own car space and at night all the superior cabins would light up as they had neon rope lights around the cabins which was really cool.
We also got to enjoy the spa resort. It was really nice. Friendly staff and overall relaxing. It's really awesome at night as well because the path leading down to the spa resort had lights in the gardens and trees. At night they also had lights that came on in the spas and everywhere high and low which looked amazing!
Cant wait to come back :)

We stayed here 3 nights and found the motel room very clean, a good size and had all the bits and pieces necessary for a comfortable stay.
Bit disappointed you have to pay extra for the pools but free entry when using a booked spa treatment which we made use of.
Spa massage was lovely- would recommend!
The pools were great, something for everyone. The private pools we found a bit of a let down, we thought they were facing the way they were as they would have a view, window, open, anything other than a grey wall. Hot, small but maybe not so much our thing.
Would stay again and recommend would be a great stay with kids!

The site is set back quite far from the lake actually, 3-5 minute drive. You might be lucky and get a lake view.
